One shameful act is this idiotic kid Crosby.
He gaves his staright forward views on any issues and the public are not allowed to call in to counter his opinions.
I might add that he also promotes the Irvings newspapers!

Been there, done that. This repetitive little obsession of yours got boring long ago.
I've watched a couple of these shows you keep griping about and I've seen PLENTY of calls get on the air from New Brunswickers (and a lot of them are very biting against the guest) and I find this Crosby kid you keep yammering on about to be well informed and a very good host. Have you even listened to the segments where he's holding up the paper? I seem to recall him BADMOUTHING the very thing you say he's promoting.
It's his show and he can say what he wants. If you feel the need to reply or counter-argue what he says, I'm sure his e-mail address is probably up on the Rogers Television website so feel free to vent your frustration that way.
You do a lot of good work with this blog Charles, but this weird obsession of yours has changed you from a passionate fighter for the little guy to some crazy obsessed man with a gripe about a private company that obviously did something you didn't agree about it.
It's time to move on before you let it eat you apart and you spend all of your time some bitter little man who was once the hero of the people but became just a man fuelled by an obsession.
Don't let this destroy you, man. Those people out there need you to focus on their issues and concerns.

"Dennis Melanson" is an idiot. Crosby is much more informed. As far as you are concerned no body gives a hoot. You are proving yourself to be a mental case through all these obsessions. Which you are.
If you do not like what Crosby does then do not listen to him. It is his program and he is free to do what he wants. People did not want to hear your bull**it so you are cut off. Face the realty.

Freedom of speech is dead in New Brunswick.
Freedom of speech ends when babbling starts. That is what your stuff is. They put up with that babbling as long as they could. Do you blame them? I heard that talk of the town is for lunatic fringe. You cannot call “talk of the town” a model of freedom of speech.
Interesting that we are seeing people arguing against people for exercising their freedom of speech. A blog is Charles freedom of speech, he can say what he wants, why write on and on trying to restrict his freedom of speech.
Clearly the above poster simply doesn't like freedom of speech. Freedom of speech means listening to the 'lunatic fringe', it means being 'free' to speak. Any place you don't have that, you don't have freedom of speech.
Charles is about the closest thing to it. He even lets lunatic malcontents with nothing better to do than gripe at him post their letters.
So you go Charles. I know you dont need words of encouragement, people who want you to shut up are pretty transparant anyway. Fundy Cable was ten times better than Rogers, and at least they were local. In case people didn't know, the guy who calls the shots in NB for Rogers is from London, Ontario.
More power to the stations like in St. Andrews, who set up their own station, and blogs like charles, where just about all the 'lunatic fringe' can shoot off their mouth.

First you say you don't listen and never will but then you instantly say you get cut off but never phone in? Huh? Which is it?
Do you have such intense intellectional issues that you don't actually know what you're doing? That's a bit scary. Perhaps you are schizoprenic and need medical attention as soon as possible. There are anti-psychotic medications that could help you.
One last question. What do they tell you when you try to call the show?
Even if they are filtering your calls, so what? It's a free country, it's Rich's show, not yours. Does every local television show, every radio show, every newspaper have to have you in it? No, they do not. Stay on your blog where you can spout all of your slander and paranoid ravings to your heart's content. Live and let live.
I called after the show was on the air for one week and the producer told me that Crosby gave the orders not to take my calls!!!!

The evening after, I phoned Voice of the Province and a woman told me to leave a message on the Rogers viewers hotline.
Old Germany at Rogers Television? Of course it is!!! Only a certain group are allowed to call in.....
When you called, were you planning on asking questions RELEVANT to the show's topic? Or were you just hoping to get on the air and insult the guests by ranting about whatever you wanted attention for that particular day? The hotline number is there for people to call when they have something to say that is unrelated to the show's topic. Did you even bother to call that number?

12:18 PM you are right. This guy needs special help. He should not be left unattended and should not be residing in a rooming house. He should be in a psychiatric ward somewhere. That is how bad he looks after reading his raving.
Many intellectually challenged people can lead normal, productive lives, get jobs and contribute positively to society. It's a shame that you can't comprehend the concept of taking care of yourself, being self-sufficient and not being a constant burden or nuisance to the community.
It seems to all boil down to laziness, to a warped world view where everybody owes you, that you think you are somehow special and deserve to exist on welfare and take advantage of services required by people who truly need them, people who don't have the ability to get a job, people who don't harass others who work for a living.
When was the last time you applied for a job? ANY job. Mowing lawns, working at McDonald's, washing windows, ANYTHING. Don't sit back and scream that everyone is racist - you're not black, asian or hispanic - just because your native tongue is french doesn't make you a separate race.
