Didn't Mary Keith tell the media last week and the Irvings were working on the old railroad station in Fredericton??? Please correct me if I'm wrong on this one??
That place has been an awful eyesore for many years. It could have been a great landmark and tourist attraction but now I think it is so bad it might not be salvagable.
Charles - also FYI I have started a blog focussing on the seemingly upcoming election, check it out if you are interested.
Railway station may be eyesore but this guy's blog is an eyesore on the internet. He has lost the sympathies of everyone who matters. Too bad because he can put his energies to a better use.
7:08, who you talking about nbpolitico or Charles? Regardless, both blogs are interesting reading. You must think so too or why would you be here.
On the Train Station, if nothing is going to be done with it, I'd rather see it hauled down. Unfortunately it's protected by federal law so it's going to have to come down by gravity and pigeons. Great law, huh? The Government says you can't tear it down but the government won't pay to fix it up.
Wow, now we have people saying we should fix up buildings for the billionaire Irvings! Yes, I'd love to see my tax dollars go to help fix up the Irvings place, perhaps their roof needs fixing, we should pay for that too. It's not like they can afford or would get the money once its fixed up and sold.
Nope we don't have to give the Irvings anything but since it's their building they should also be allowed to tear it down if they so desire. Otherwise the government should take it over, own it and fix it.
