I just received this email -
I was just talking to ????? and he said that the word on the bus this
morning is that Murphyville has been condemned and it has to come down.
Can you imagine that one! I think that you should sniff around and find out if its true?
I personally think that by them condemning it must mean
that the LNG might have something to do with it. Very sad news so please investigate and let me know what you find out?

Don't be getting Charles all worked up . You should know darn well by now that in here facts have nothing to do with anything!
Well now that I have read the comments left by the people maybe they did not mean Murphyville the Shrine, maybe it is Murphyville the house on the bus gossip this morning.
It is a very old crooket house and I have been told that there has been no work done to it since the new owners took over.
I have heard personally that it is run by slum lords.
The sad thing is that there are alot of families that live in that big old house and alot of those people were brought up and raised in Milford so it will be hard
for them to find another apartment in the area.
Whenever I do hear the name Murphyville I do think of the shrine and so did you obviously by the pictures that you posted.
If its the house it still a shame and a part of Milford history that will be gone forever.
What is it they say-never let the truth get in the way of a good story?People lose all credibility when they publish mis-information.
I WISH PEOPLE WOULD WAKE UP AND FACE WHAT IS TRULY HAPPENING AND STAOP DENYING.
Irving is trying to put the 30 inch gas pipeline throughout our city and later branch off to all his businesses and why should the people of Saint John have to put up with this situation.
Why can't people try to bring out all the facts and ask questions and try to inform more people?
Something is wrong when you don't ask qestions or investigate the issue. People like the first comments mentioned are really making it more difficult for people who care and want to make sure we are all safe and have some quality of life. Not just for a select few.
I know it's difficult for you to comprehend, but not everything in Saint John has to do with Irvings.
I know, sounds crazy doesn't it?
Have you been to Murphyville lately? I have. It's become a danger.
A pipeline would be much safer.

Now about the Tolls on the Harbour Bridge; he better be fighting in our defence to have this loan forgiven or at least the tolls as is. What is it with Saint John that they treat us a punching bag. No where in NB where bridges that are larger and more plentiful do they have to pay a toll. We need to get around the city as does Fredericton with it's many Bridges but they are not asked to pay a Toll. Give a spin that would save us money. Stop making this a money pig and shut down the Toll workers and get down to paying for the Bridge and stop the politics. The money which is in the millions now have been wasted for what a High tech Toll to catch us for our toll. Federally Zed should be working to rid this loan and also the Premier and our Mayor need to wake up. The Mayor is now taking money each year for the Harbour Passage. Wrong wrong!
