I believe that the whole world knows that I'm on Social Assistance. I told the New York Times, the local media and my here in my blog.

So therefore to those people coming here and blasting me to be on Welfare?

Well, save your fingers because your comment will just be rejected.

I'm poor so if you feel that a poor person don't have a voice and should just be ignored?

Well? Just don't come in here. Go read an Irving Paper somehere.

You tell it as it is Charles. Remember when they are picking on you for being poor, lazy, stupid they are trying to forget the fact they can not do what you are doing and they are showing their own stupidity. My thoughts are this your poor financially, but very rich in friends, Lazy? your all over the province a lazy person stays in bed all day long, Stupid? How many of the clowns that make fun of you can speak, write, read two languages, I'm a french, MicMac, and I can only speak english,(of which I'm not very proud) and not well at that.
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK CHARLES, There is a reward comming.

Embarassed? Ashamed?

There is relevance to mentioning the fact. The majority of people would want to better themselves by improving their situations. You, on the other hand, have zero interest in doing so. In essence, you are stealing from the mouths of others who desperately need money, by not trying to get yourself off of social assistance - there's only so much in the federal coffers to go around.

Since you have no desire to answer direct questions on this blog, and seem intent on filtering things you don't want to hear, I doubt you'll post this.

I got nothing to hise. All the blame goes to the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission.

I got two jobs and was discriminated against.

One was at the Irving company Gulf Operators and the other was at the New Brunswick Legislature.

Those people at the Commission went further by telling the Government that the poor can be force to sh@t in a garbage bag if you live in a rooming House.

They refuse to sent out a press release on this issue.

I'll have much more to write about on this issue in the futre so Stay tuned!!!!

This story among others is and continues to go no where but to la la land of "stay tuned" ! The Irvings wont tell stories, now we cant find stories in this blog either, "got to talk to the man on the street in person..." Yeah right ! What the use of this blog, it's going down hill, it's like the Seinfeld show "about nothing", it's a blog about nothing. At least Seinfeld is funny ! I am going back to TV for entertainment and news again ! At least they are consistent !

The above poster would have a point if it weren't for that one problem, 'the facts'. The only concern is if this leads to a slippery slope of not posting anything you dont like. It also shows that it is starting to affect you, which means something has changed. You always used to let it roll off you and never cared, or else let posters like us come to your defense and restate your story above.

On the one hand it serves a valuable purpose for the blog. Each time somebody says it we get to bring up the facts again-that the government got you fired TWICE. Those are very important facts and its useful to be able to bring up the stories. In fact, I"d suggest an alternative, and each time somebody posts that, you should have a reply that restates those stories about how you were fired. That way they stay fresh in people's minds. When they aren't discussed, people don't tend to remember them, and of course many people here are new.

I don't think most people read the stories at the left side, so its important to know how this government continually harasses you, NOT vice versa.

However, there is a concern that perhaps all this media attention is going to your head, so you are saying that with an international audience you will no longer print statements that 'embarass' you. THAT is unfortunate, I see political blogs like that all the time, like Garth Turner, the new independant who heavily censors his blog to weed out any that may 'embarass' him.

So I'd think twice about that charles, censorship is a tricky thing. It always made you look good when you ignored it, made you look magnanymous when you replied to it. But it doesn't make you look good when you continually restrict the things said at the blog. Even when people say those bad things it serves a purpose-we get to restate the whole question of how you lost your jobs. This way, when nobody is allowed to bring it up, you'll have to bring it up yourself, which feeds into the perception that the blog is only about you.

We all know that it is simply retarded to say 'there is only so much federal money' to somebody who gets less than $7000 a year, and most of that goes to Albertan landlords as well as taxes. Its retarded to say that when Irving just got over a hundred million dollar tax break, its retarded to say that when a quarter of a billion dollars has just been pumped into a dying forestry sector to lay off more workers. It's retarded to say that when close to 200 billion dollars sits in tax shelters in the caribbean, and when corporations (thats the Irvings and Mccains) pay only 3% of the government budget.

But free speech is shown when its speech we don't like. The Irvings can well say they just do what you do, and don't print letters that they don't like....how are you being different? Next will we see that any post that doesn't agree with you is blocked? Even the precedence this sets is scary, and makes it so that fewer people want to post. Thats a shame. Your bigger than that Charles, prove it.

Charlie, no one blames you for being poor - what I do blame you for is not looking for a job on your own and expecting everyone else to support you. Your "donations" button and your request for a jacket are just examples of that. Why not go get yourself a job and stop complaining about how unfair life is? Some of us make $10 an hour and we don't have time to run around taking pictures and playing on the computer all day. Go get a job.

Charles, please take it from me, No matter what one does in life, One cannot please everybody. I'm 72 years young and been around the block a few times I'm here to tell ya`.

I and others read you site a lot here at the senior citizen complex where I live. There are some other old fogies like myself, who get on one of the computers here and post things just to get you going, but in a [ Fun Way Only. ]

Your site enables most of us here at the complex, to at least hear or read what's going on, not only here in Saint John, but up in your neck of the woods as well.

Most of us cannot stay awake late at night to watch the late news. Evening news, we're all sitting down for supper like a bunch of little kids [ lol ]

We read your site, and we also read this site

http://geocities.com/newbrunswicknewsstories/

as well by a chap who volunteers some of his time to us using the computers and such.

Don't let people bother you is all i'm trying to get across.

International media going through my head??? I don't think so but if I blog an certain issue and someone brings up the issue of welfare?

Sorry....but then again I might let it go.

As for stay tuned?

The bureaucrats and MLA's knows the reason that I was banned and it's false info. < just like in Saint John with the Police. >

This is a biggy and I'm just waiting.

I can tell you this much. I heard that four individual put in charge of harrashment against me.

If I were those individuals? I would be sleeping with my eyes open because I get the names of those people?

Either I'm going to sue them or blog them to death?

I wonder which is worst????...lol

Stay tuned!!!!

Anonymous said...

Suing them is the way to go. If you blog them, then they can easily call that harassment and sue YOU. However, again, hearsay is not evidence, somebody saying thats what happened doesn't mean anything. But just don't mention the topic. I don't see why people make a big deal out of 'stay tuned', movies advertise months before they come out, televisions shows do it all the time. Its a well known way to keep people coming back.

The more important point is the poster above. The essential point here is that YOU don't have time to take pictures because you work all the time. Exactly. We know though that Charles has been fired, so the above is just complaining that Charles isn't doing what they do and spending thier time in a shitty low paying job.

Charles has never complained about how 'bad' his life is, we know like everybody he'd like some more bucks but you can tell from the blog he is doing what he loves. As was said, and we get to say again because a poster doesn't know the facts, it wasn't Charles who put up the donation link.

However, it is quite literally true that Charles provides a valuable service and SHOULD be compensated. After all, IRving reporters just walk around with a camera all day and they are paid. And of course if YOU don't want to donate, certainly nobody is putting a gun to your head. If I had more money I'd be donating because I think Charles blog is more useful than Irvings. Their website has hardly any local news anymore, its just ads and foreign press.

Charles doens't always have golden stuff, but its usually interesting. I even enjoyed his photo journey through Mollys. Since I don't live in Fredericton its nice to see those pictures. I'd like to see pictures of the sunrise and sunset every day if charles woudl do it.

So whether you 'blame him' for not getting a job is irrelevant, if you don't like the site, don't use it. I for one pray that charles never gets offered a job for my selfish reason that I know none of these issues or pictures would exist, and New Brunswick would be back to having only Irving for a place to see whats going on.

If Charles could make ten bucks an hour doing this, so much the better. New Brunswick has some of the highest paid bureaucrats and elected officials in Canada, and they make three times as much as representatives right over in Maine, so I think these fat cats should HAVE to pay to support Charles so the population has somebody who actually holds them to account, unlike the other press.

So Charles, you see its good to even have these comments against you as it brings up important points. NB has one of the worst welfare programs in the country, its not like you are living a life of royalty.

blogging or suing; one would be the sergent of arms, cant you narrow it down for the other three, in the summons he gave you didnt it say, visitors and staff ?

Charles, your 2:37 comment sounds pretty much like a threat.
You often say you had a job at the Legislature. You got fired, ok, but that tells me you can and are willing to work.
The need is growing for skilled worker, such as you. Maybe you should start looking around. There's good pay in your field.

It sort of is a threat. It's basically saying that 'I have a blog and I'll use it'. The reality has been that it has been six months since he was expulsed and he has refused to name these names, so he's certainly been pretty patient. To be fair, thats not much different than the Irving Press. So long as you tow the Irving line you get good press.

However, again, Charles has never complained on here, except once in a while to ask for a coat with blogger on it. This is basically a way of trying to get charles to stop doing what he's doing. Why not write to Jamie Irving and tell him to stop putting out that worthless rag and 'get a real job'.

I would be happy if you got some cash, but not if it stopped you from blogging. However, you haven't been lobbying much of late, and that is what was most important in the blog.

I just lobbied for 555!!! I just posted a blog of me asking the Irvings for a job. See? I'm trying!!!!
