It's going to be interesting because the Commission will not fight for the poor. They seem to say that they are animals and not human!!!!
Stay tuned!!!!

Just who is GORDON PORTER anyhow. What is this about the poor being JAILED in saint john. What is happening to this city? I was brought up there, there is so much unfairness. The poor is growing like weeds there and they are overwhelming the city, that is why the police and others are concerned because they are outnumbered. Alot of these poor people used to live in homes and have good jobs. Alot of them were laid off due to government and company cutbacks. I wonder if the immigrants who arrive in Saint John get treated this way?? They in fact get alot more money for housing and allowances for welfare. In fact i just saw on the news last night a family came from africa to newfoundland- a big family- and they are ALL on welfare, the whole family. Why do immigrants gets welfare and canadians get the streets and NO WELFARE. Welfare has been cutoff in new brunswick unless you are considered disabled. The same thing is happening in alberta, that is why tehre is a growing homeless class- welfare has been cut and if your rent goes up there is no place to live, as the rents double here every year.
Anon 1:00 is, at best, ignorant and a liar. More likely, a xenophobe and racist.
Just in case any reader is uninformed enough to believe him or her: it not true that immigrants get more money than anyone else from government, for anything. That's a filthy lie. In fact, immigrants are less able to get government funding, for anything, than anyone else. You can't immigrate to Canada unless you can prove you're self-sufficient.
And, the story that the racist liar is referring to was not about immigrants. It was about refugees from a war-torn African hellhole. And, they're not on welfare. And, the whole family did not come at once. The government made the mom and dad prove their parentage of their children, with DNA tests, before allowing the children in.
It's also a lie to say there is no welfare in NB unless you're disabled. Monthly payments are disgracefully low, but they are not zero.
