What a shame, I wanted to attend this but knowing you were going to attend and undoubtedly take pictures of everyone there without people's permission, there was no chance I was going to go and find my photo on here hours later.
Wow, nasty comment day! Don't people know they are supposed to take a rest on sunday? Theres hardly 300 pictures there, so I doubt the poster above had any intention of going.
The bus is actually natural gas and puts out about 1/100th of the pollution from a plane. What did you expect him to do? Walk? Ride a horse?
Too bad you didn't interview him though Charles, or record his talk.
3:44pm: I certainly did have intentions of going and listening to Suzuki. I did not have a desire to have my picture taken without my permission. Sure enough, hundreds of photos were taken and haven't been posted yet. As usual, ignorant and disrespectful behaviour at a high profile event.
Hi Charlie, I have used to listen to this guy on the Nature of things when I was younger and I was facinated with what he had to say. there are a few things when it comes to my christian faith that he and I don't agree on but as far as cleaning up the environment I hear he's really down to earth and approachable.
Nice blog charlie. I would like to meet this Gentleman myself
Yea Mr Environmentalist that is hippocrite just like the rest of them. They all have nice houses, cars, use paper, and wood products but are againts good forest management. HIPPOCRITE!!!
I was wondering if his bus was natural gas. That's why I asked.
Charles picture taking is going to ruin it for everybody who may want a photo or two. Soon all events on private property will have strict no photos without permission rules.
I would not expect him to walk or ride a horse, but a small, efficient car and hotel stays may have been a more environmentally friendly option.
Who is "the rest of them"? Sounding a little paranoid. Suzuki is hardly hypocritical in what he says, all you have to do is listen to him. Most critics have never even heard what he has to say.
Suzuki has long been a proponent of good forestry practises which is why he has often criticized Canadas forestry management practices which are among the worst in the world and getting worse.
His car is a hybrid, and he lives in a condo. Like everybody he has an ecological footprint, that doesnt make him a hypocrite. Some people simply dont like people who speak out, as posts aimed at Charles show.
The point of taking the bus is to minimize energy use, and hotels are very inefficient. That's the whole point of the bus.

Charles, learn how to spell and use proper grammar.
Posted on behalf of everybody with a Google Alert on the keyword 'Fredericton'
You got me...I wrote the blog in 30 seconds and it showed.....C'est la vie!!!!
So Mr. Environmentalist drives around the country in a big polluting bus?
