Are our drinking laws severe enough?

I didn’t think do.

The mood outside the court house was like the weather. Cold and windy!

That is just disgusting news!

Our condolences go out to the family.

Friendly wagers say that the guy is back to being a drunk in a short time.

Won't be long before he is arrested again for drinking and driving and the vicious cycle begins again.

Laws are only as good as the lobbyists. If you don't like it, do something about it. Lobby for a change. In Oregon, when people are in an accident and are impaired, they are automatically charged with manslaughter.

You know it is pretty bad when an individual who is severely in a drunkin stuper can only be inprisoned or jailed for only two years. Especially when that was a hit and run kill. I have to ask myself this question, what is this Province and Nation coming to when criminals can be treated so well and the law abiding Citizen gets the dirty end of the stick. That was a deliberate act of the part of the drunk driveer he knew better then to get behind the weel of a vehicle in the first place, so the entire falt of this matter rests completely on him. Put him away for either first or, second degree Murder for about 25 years to life and let him think with a clear hear head about the pain and misery he has put his victim's family and loved ones through.
