Last summer, I met with Kelly Lamrock who agreed that I should be ban for life from the New Brunswick Legislature.
I might add that Stuart Jamieson and Shawn Graham also agreed with this China style verdict.
I had a meeting with Bernard Theriault < sidekick to Shawn Graham >
The conversation went well but he totally refuses to reply to his email. < He did send one reprisal >
Ok . . . The only reason that I was told by Kelly is a very emotional one.
This individual made a complaint against me and I was furious!!!!
I will not go public with the issue because it’s a very emotional and dirty issue.
I might add the same individual saw me on the streets a few weeks ago and shouted- HI CHARLES!!!!
I replied- HI!!!
But this all change Friday when I was chatting with someone and the individual saw me.
If looks could kill? I would have been dead.
I’m certain that the individual was approached that I might go public with the issue.
I was approached by a few people pleading with me not to go public but what can I do?
I could go at the front door of the Legislature and be arrested.
We need a court trial on this issue.
We need those four individuals to come forward in a court of law telling a Judge what’s the reason I was harassing these people???
Let’s not forget that bigot Irving Labour Leader Mole Tom Mann wrote that letter to the Editor about me but I wasn’t allowed to write a reprisal!

My lawyer Harold Doherty < Iron Horse > has drafted a petition and that’s what we’re going to do.
Now...I won’t be going downtown looking for individuals to sign the papers.
I will be located right beside the Legislature and I will confront the MLA with my recorder and camera asking them to sign the petition.
Can you imaging having the biggest blogger and bullsh@ter in New Brunswick right in front of you asking for a signature?
Now? Anyone who agrees with this China style verdict will be blogged afterwards.
The public has the right to know which politician believes in a free society and which one believes in Communism.
I was told to collect 50 signatures but knowing me? I might have so much fun that I could go for a higher number.
Remember the petition I guess about the issue of Ritalin? I was going to collect 100 signatures and I ended up with 10,000 names!!!!
I expect to be arrested and this will be a good thing because this will prove my point that New Brunswick is changing into a Police State.
I might add that I was told that the ban is on my record but I don’t know that the reason?
A record on my file and I don’t know the reasons???
So therefore we might as well have a trial on this issue.
I believe the Liberals want me to go public with this issue so they can discredit me.
During a trial? Who the Judge will believe? The words of Kelly Lamrock < politcian > or the blogger?
One thing is certain? Whatever happens? I will know the reasons I'm banned for life from the Legislature.
Then I can blogged these individuals.
I wonder why Shawn Graham wishes to spend thousands and thousands of dollars by having a trial?
There must be some Irving’s employees in the Premier’s office.
Now? Do I wish to do this?

I pleaded with the Liberals that I want this settle and I’m ready to put this like water under the bridge and moved on but the Irving Party doesn’t want this!
My arrest in Saint John was ordered by some high powerful people and these individuals are ready to try to convict me again!

You have been more than patient on this charles, but there are two issues you are talking about. First, is seeing how many MLA's agree with it, second is the reasons for the ban.
To accomplish the first would be a good first step. However, to do that you shouldn't lump it in with the second. In other words, don't break the law to challenge the law-at least not yet.
So find somebody like Abel Leblanc who publicly supported you last time and ask him to get MLA's to sign it. I guarantee you that MLA's will refuse simply on the grounds that you are breaking the law by being there. That's an easy 'out' for them, which is what politicians always look for.
However, if Abel, or if your lawyer were to bring it to them to sign then thats a different story.
Try the incremental approach first. Politicians always want to do whatever costs them the least negative publicity. Dogging them from the public is a sure way to get arrested, which will accomplish the second part of your plan, but will make the first part impossible.
Surely some of those protestors that you are always giving media coverage to can do this for you.
Why don't you give your side of the story Charles once and for all so that we can make our own decision on who is right and who is wrong here.
I talked to someone that did complain about your inappropriate behavior, especially in the cafeteria. And from what that person told me I have to agree with him, but I would like to hear your side in order to make a decision on who to support.
what is the big deal about the leg anywho, go visit the mall or something your not banned from there.

The big deal is that the legislature is where the decision makers are. Charles was doing a good job confronting them on issues. I find it hard to believe that Charles was so unruly in the cafeteria that he couldn't be reasoned with, or simply asked to leave on one occasion.
But to have an indefinite ban is like what charles says, something they do in China. If there are people who will testify that Charles is a danger to themselves then that should be made public. Keep in mind that being an annoyance is not the same as being a security risk. I suspect he was an annoyance, but these people are paid very well to do will that. If an individual was being 'harassed' then that should be made public with witnesses stating as such.
If he threatened somebody then by all means there should be quick action, I highly doubt that was the case, but if it was, then let's hear it.
While I can't say I know what China Style verdicts actually mean..(your not in some 5x5 cell after all nor have you suddenly disappeared from view)...The principle of the issue might be Good behavior on your part might have saved you all this trouble in the first place.
(stalking,harrasment,yelling,swearing) I can understand a tresspass notice if you are causing a disturbance?? Appears to be toilet paper i would have let him arrest,but would never even aknowledge a piece of worthless piece of paper like that!
Oh there you go, crying wolf again. I'll be surprised if you go through with this little plan of yours. I expect it will end up in the "Stay tuned!" category and be swept under the rug like all of your other stories ending with "Stay tuned!"

They did actually have him 'disappeared from view', it happened in Saint John. Who knows what would have happened if he didn't have a blog.
"good behaviour" is exactly what the issue is about. Asking questions consistently and publicly is exactly what kind of 'behaviour' the government doesn't want, but its exactly what the people should want.
WHether there was harassment or something else we don't know, if there was a fair process those questions would be discovered. Decisions NOT being made behind closed doors is what would separate New Brunswick from China.
Some day anonymous 8:09 when you grow up you can look back and smile to yourself at just how silly comments like suggesting this little farce has any comparison to what happenS in China. All it shows is how little you actually know of what goes on in the world. But give yourself time, you will mature eventually.
This looks like it could end up like the trial in Seinfeld. The four main characters didn't think they did anything wrong, but then came out all these other caracters from their past telling the court how bad those people were. Jerry and friends got a one year sentence.

It's only silly when you are a spectator. If and when YOUR rights start being taken away from you with no reasons given and no way to challenge them by the government then perhaps you will understand. Some people simply don't want to understand, because believing their government may not be all its cracked up to be implies that they should actually do something about it.
If and when you start being singled out in a crowd and arrested for only taking pictures then perhaps you'll understand a little better. But of course that involves actually caring about other people and being politically involved.
People who have never had their rights abused, mostly because they never exercise most of them, don't usually understand people who have had to deal with situations like that.
It has nothing to do with maturity, go ask Robert Paul, the native fisherman who was being beaten in Miramichi Bay by Department of Fisheries Officers and who held up his arm for protection and recieved three years for 'assault'. How exactly is that different from what happens in China? Not so different after all. You might find it silly, but then its not you who sat in jail for three years.
That doesn't require maturity, simply go talk to him, or else go to the library and sign out the documentary "Is the Crown at War with us".
Charles got lucky, in his case a decent hearted lawyer saw the injustice and stepped forward when Charles was refused counsel. Keep in mind that as reported at the time Charles could have faced three years in jail. Knowing Charles, if he didn't have a lawyer who knows what would have happened.
So the difference between here and China is one of degrees, not of substance. Both governments strive to silence dissidents. In China they don't just 'disappear', they also have a judicial system, its just that the system is a joke, and we just got a closeup of what a joke it was in Charles case.
You can think such comparisons are silly if you want, there are probably many law abiding chinese people who read about Charles case and say 'thank heavens we don't live there'.
Government is afraid of natives as they will stand up for thier rights even if it means getting killed and they also come together in time of crisis even though the government tried its best to confuse and seperate them! I watched that man get beaten and my family saw also. I dont wonder who the real criminals in society are after witnessing that. Take another look at the standoff at the Restigouche river in the early 80s! If they will do it to the Native people they will also do the same to the rest of the Canadians who dare voice thier opinions against the government! Same as Chinease government does to it peoples and alot worse. Charles story is just 1 of thousands that dosent get heard or told so that many hear it !! Government and Police are not the average peoples friend,and you are a fool to believe this! They exist only to take whatever they can from you in any means wether it be your money or your soul and to keep you oppressed like good little sheep!

Share with us all those injustices that you have lived through that makes you so very knowledgeable? That personal experience that you claim is needed before we can become enlightened as you are. Or maybe you found that at the library too?

You don't have to live through injustices to sympathize with them. You don't need to sit in jail for three years, all you have to do is talk to people who have. Like I said, all you have to do is watch that documentary mentioned above, in fact if readers out there want a real experience you can check out many documentaries on native rights, even if people disagree with certain aspects, they are very educational. There's a woman, I forget her name, but she has an international reputation as high as any american filmmaker, in Canada most have never heard of her-I can't even remember her name. But go the library and check them out and decide for yourselves. You can watch Robert Paul getting beaten and read the court transcripts that sent him to jail for three years.
As the poster above mentioned, Charles is just the tip of the iceberg. Just go listen to Richard Harris and Bonnie O'dea. They haven't been 'abused' quite as much as many, but they have been victims of a system that cares little about people. As Charles has asked many times, how many poor are sitting in jail because they were refused legal aid and simply had no understanding of what was going on? You don't need to have been beaten or jailed to ask that question and want answers to it. In fact, the only way those answers are found is when people who HAVEN"T been marginalized start standing up.
I know lots of chinese nationals. They have very good jobs in China and a standard of living as high as in Canada, in fact I know many who have become sick in Canada and gone back to China because it has a much better health care system.
There is no doubt about human rights in China, but of course China can point at our involvement in Afghanistan, Haiti, and Iraq and with natives and make the same claim about Canada. We can have very little impact in China, but we can have an impact here. Canada has its own Tibet right here in Canada, they're called natives or aboriginals, or even just environmentalists and protestors. They are also dealt with severely.
And one more thought on this, New Brunswick's population is declining, China's is expanding, I also know many New Brunswickers-who have much better lives now that they are working in China (because they couldn't find decent jobs in NB).

Oh, but wait, people like Charles or Bonnie O'dea or Richard Harris they would never lie about anything. They would never do anything wrong. They would never be at least partly reasonable for some of there own misfortune. So naturally when they tell you its governments fault or...that mans fault or...that organizations fault then that must be the truth. And of course when someone makes a movie about something well then that clinches it doesn't it! Movies would never lie! Just ask the the Russians,Iraqis and Oh yes your Chinese friends about that.
Really it's not what you believe that is a problem, its that you only believe what you want that's really sad.

Just Passing,sounds like you receive a Fat Government pension or are on the Payroll? i dont think anybody said Charles,Bonnie or Richard are perfect and never made mistakes just the contrary We know they have faults but that dosent explain away the persecution that they have had to put up with because someone in the legislature or government decided to drop a Legal Mallet on these people heads! this blog did not come about because of someone in government being nice! The government is being driven by a wicked few at the top and is surrounded by the others who fight over the scraps falling off the table!
