The government has been doing that for years.

They partied it up on our tax dollars; gave themselves bonuses, made bad investments and if they was a few dollars that could pay the debt they spend.

People on social asistance is not what is hurting us. The upper management and politicians who need to be weeded out and give a fair wage and never mind extra money for things they should pay for themselves.

Keir needs a wake up call himself.

The price of oil has always been high here and when the price is lower everywhere else for decades we were gouged. Stop making ordinary people pay for your bad mistakes and the people before you. Look for the money where corporations are making profits. Average people can pick up any more bills; we are falling behind and getting bigger debts while all of you receive more then your share for what little you do.

All parties and politicians need to be laid off and hired to do a job and stop this mickey mouse club and stop stealing and lying.

You should all get a job. Hey open the paper on Saturdays, there are lots of jobs in there. Hey move out West there are lots of jobs there.

I have been following the comments on this issue and I would say that most of the individuals on the system are good and decent people who just want a decent standard of living but they have some difficulty in this probince to achieve that, but it is not because they haven't tried. It is because we have a Liberal gobvernment in Power now that is only concerned about killing babies and same sex marriage and also and let us not forget adoption for same-sex couples. This province has been flip- flopping around the real issues for years, thinking that the political party they elect is going to give them what they want. They don't seem to realize after all this time, that the party has their own agenda and if you fit into that agenda, they will help you because it is in their best interest to do so. and nothing more, and noghing less.

The problem is in my opinion that our traditional Foundational Values of decency and morals and goodness have been literally thrown out of the window and now, it is an anything goes soiety where you can do anything you want and just get a slap on the wrist for your crimes. We don't have any foundation on which to plant a secure future.or a secure present for that mnatter.

Lets return to traditional values and decency, because as it is right now, there is no real standard of decency in society and our present unger generation and future generations are living in an anything goes society where they are no boundaries and no consequences for their actions.

Yes stop putting people down. You seem to miss the point people have jobs but can't make ends meet with everything going up except wages. Always negative when someone speaks the truth.

They wamt to increase gas, power rates for most of us but subsidize big corporations who can afford to pay but choose not too.

They all brag about their profits and you want us to shut up and take it.
Honestly something has to improve soon.

We can't ask taxpayers to pay and subsidize the billionaires anymore. Who will help us; no one cares, I am talking about people who work everyday and two people making wages. Gouging at its worst. Upper managers make big wages, receive bonuses and live the high life; we struggle just to pay the bills , eat and have a roof over our heads and have a little for a rainy day. Rainy day funds are no longer available at this rate.

Middle class has a new meaning; work and hand your pay to the tax man and maybe when we feel like it at election time we will promise you alot and change after were are elected and put the screws to all. Middle class is the workimg poor.

Way to go Michael, surely your one of the few that could actually find a correlation between same sex marriage, abortion, the current Liberal government and people on social assistance. Yes how I miss those good old days (8 months back) when those caring, thoughtful conservatives were in power. Sure were no poor people back then!
Oh how I miss the good old days. I just have to wonder though, where in the traditional values you speak of Michael does being "truthful" fit? Or is that just some lame liberal ideal along the same vain as doing unto others and something about casting stones?

I am not trying to cast stones, what I am trying to ask is why are we in this so-called prosperous province living so far below the poverty line, that most people on fixed incomes and poor, and many People who are known as the working poor, can't seem to find any lasting light at the end of the tunnel. Why are we if not the highest taxed province or at least one of the highest taxed Provinces in Canada. Thiese questions or, issues need to be properly addressed and dealt with so it can be corrected. It must be equal access for all, or no access for anyone.
