Dear Charles,
It is very easy for us to get caught up in this materialistic
World of ours. Before we even know it we start desiring a
fancy new car, or a new home, or some other material
possession that soon dominates our hearts and minds.
Now these things can become the most important things
in our lives, and can not help replacing God as Number One
in our hearts! "FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE
YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO." ( LUKE 12:34 )
After all, "THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE FLESH
SET THEIR MINDS ON THE THINGS OF THE FLESH, BUT
THOSE WHO LIVE ACCORDING TO THE SPIRIT, THE
THINGS OF THE SPIRIT. FOR TO BE CARNALLY MINDED
IS DEATH, BUT TO BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE AND
PEACE!" ( ROMANS 8:5-7 )
So keep your mind focused on Our Savior Jesus Christ so
"THAT CHRIST MAY DWELL IN YOUR HEARTS THROUGH
FAITH." ( EPHESIANS 3:17 ) For after all we are not human
beings having a Spiritual experience, but Spiritual beings
having a human experience!
Now Charles, "TO HIM WHO IS ABLE TO DO
EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK
OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKS IN
US, TO HIM BE GLORY IN THE CHURCH BY CHRIST JESUS
TO ALL GENERATIONS, FOREVER AND EVER. AMEN"
( EPHESIANS 3:20-21 )
