To whom it may concern,
.
I have had calls and e-mails from various people requesting information and plans for the station.

I don't feel that I should be answering questions on behalf of J. D. Irving, the City of Fredericton, the provincial or federal governments or anyone else for that matter.

It is for this reason that I have called a public meeting to be held at St. Pauls United Church at 224 York Street in Fredericton on October 23 at 7:30 p.m. for members of the public to speak directly with the parties concerned.

I was unable to get an evening later in the week and apologize for this late notice.

We hope that you or your representative will attend on behalf of your organization to present views and answer questions from those in attendance.

Please reply at your earliest convenience in order for the agenda to be created.

Time will be provided for representatives to speak followed by a question period for the public in attendance.

I look forward to a reply at your earliest convenience.

Yours truly,

Tim Scammell, PTech

Hello Charles. I want to thank you for your help getting the word out about this meeting.
I think it will be quite informative for everyone.
The invited parties who have indicated that they will attend and will be speaking are:

- Michel Audy
Executive Secretary/Secrétaire exécutif
Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada Commission des lieux et monuments historiques du Canadan des lieux et monuments historiques du Canada

- Fredericton Mayor Brad Woodside

- Gred Byrne, MLA

- Rick Miles, MLA

- Andrew Hall on behalf of Andy Scott, MP

- Margaret Gregg on behalf of Greg Thompson, MP

I'm hoping for others that were invited but that's all so far.

Just to let you know, I hand delivered copies of my petition to the offices of Mr. Miles and Premiere Graham this morning before Mr. Miles told me he will be at the meeting.
I want to point out that even though the parties that the petition is directed at are generously assisting us where they can, it is still my responsibility to deliver the petition on behalf of those who signed it.
I look forward to seeing you there tonight!

Take Care,

Hi Charlie: I just wanted to thank you as well for your coverage of this issue. I remember going to the train station when I was a very small boy. I would love an opportunity to stroll through a newly restored train station and even though I am blind visually impaired, I would still enjoy the tour. Please extend my wishes that this Monument to history given a full restoration.

Well Charles is going to be a very boy posting up a storm tonight! He was everywhere snapping shots in our faces. Good coverage sir!
I stand to be corrected but I thought that the meeting went well and shows a promising future.
But, the proof will certainly be in the pudding.
I'll be doing everything that I can to see this through.
I promise.
