Dear Charles,
It is said that laughter is the best medicine. So today
we shall share a laugh or two, for after all, our Heavenly Father
has a sense of humor and: HE WHO SITS IN THE HEAVENS
SHALL LAUGH. ( PSALM 2:4 )
So sit back, relax, and enjoy some of the Bloopers actually
found in Church Bulletins!
*The outreach committee has enlisted 25 visitors to
make calls on people who are not afflicted with
any church.
*The Ladies Bible Study will be held Thursday
morning at 10. All ladies are invited to lunch in the
Fellowship Hall after the B.S. is done.
*Evening massage - 6 p.m.
*The Pastor would appreciate it if the ladies of the
congregation would lend him their electric girdles for
the pancake breakfast next Sunday morning.
*The audience is asked to remain seated until the end
of the recession.
*Ushers will eat latecomers
*For those of you who have children and don't know it,
we have a nursery downstairs.
*The Rev. Meriwether spoke briefly, much to the
delight of the audience.
*Due to the Rector's illness, Wednesday's healing
services will be discontinued until further notice.
*Next Sunday Mrs. Vinson will be soloist for the
morning service. The pastor will then speak on "It's a
Terrible Experience."
*Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our
church and community.
*Today's Sermon: HOW MUCH CAN A MAN DRINK?
With hymns from a full choir.
*Potluck supper: prayer and medication to follow.
*Don't let worry kill you off - let the church help.
*The 2003 Spring Council Retreat will be hell on May 10th
and 11th.
*Pastor is on vacation. Massages can be given to
church secretary.
*8 new choir robes are currently needed due to the addition
of several new members and to the deterioration of some
older ones.
*The pastor will preach his farewell message, after which
the choir will sing, "Break Forth Into Joy."
*The third verse of Blessed Assurance will be sung
without musical accomplishment.

Now Charles, I hope that you have enjoyed these as much as
I did! Therefore may you have a" joyful" weekend, and may if be
filled with laughter as well. After all, it is said, smile and the World
smiles with you, frown and you frown alone. Amen

SING TO THE LORD, PRAISE HIS NAME; PROCLAIM HIS
SALVATION DAY AFTER DAY."

Dear Charles,
as you know Hymns are part of most Worship Services today,
and: "HOW GOOD IT IS TO SING PRAISES TO OUR GOD,
HOW PLEASANT AND FITTING TO PRAISE HIM!"
Therefore we are to: "SING TO GOD, SING PRAISES TO HIS
NAME, EXTOL HIM WHO RIDES ON THE CLOUDS- HIS NAME
IS THE LORD-AND REJOICE BEFORE HIM."
( PSALM 147:1 ) & ( PSALM 68:4 )
Now have you ever wondered when music became part of our
Worship, Charles? Well, Moses and the Israelites sang the first
song to the Lord ( EXODUS 15:1-18 ) However King David played
a major role in bring Hymns to the Temple, for he wrote most of
the PSALMS or "Songs," found in the Book of PSALMS. The
words of those ancient Hymns are found in our Bibles, however
the actual music has been lost through the ages.
So, 'LET US SING FOR JOY TO THE LORD; LET US
SHOUT ALOUD TO THE ROCK OF OUR SALVATION. LET US
COME BEFORE HIM WITH THANKSGIVING AND EXTOL HIM
WITH MUSIC AND SONG." ( PSALM 95:1-2 ) Just as God's
Children have been doing for thousands of years now!
Have a wonderful day Charles, and why not attend your
Church this Sunday, and Worship your Heavenly Father with songs
and praise! Amen.

How come the Irvings never wrote an editorial of the action of the Saint John Police Force???
I'm not a fan of the Irvings covering court cases. Especially when an important verdict like my case had to be in the New York Times before it get the attention of the Irvings.

In June of 2006, Charles LeBlanc, an ADHD (Attention Deficit, Hyperactivity Disorder) blogger was taking pictures of a demonstration. Business leaders were meeting in Saint John to discuss the concept of Atlantica, an Atlantic region free trade alliance.
Apparently police thought he was part of the protest. Although he was doing nothing but taking pictures, he was tackled, arrested, and charged with obstructing justice. Police also seized and erased pictures from his digital camera!
Immediately following the incident, and in the subsequent court case, the issue seemed to be whether LeBlanc is a legitimate journalist. The media did a considerable amount of musing on that. Even professors of journalism got into the act talking about how journalistic status is a more complex issue now that anyone can blog. The issue was further confused by the fact that LeBlanc had been refused membership in the New Brunswick Legislative press gallery. I don’t know if his ADHD makes his behaviour a factor in that or not. Officially it was just because the gallery’s terms of membership don’t include blogs which didn’t exist until recently.
It is especially disappointing that journalists themselves don’t realize that they have no special status whatsoever. Any citizen has the same right as a journalist to attend and photograph a public demonstration.
Imagine someone charged with assaulting a person and vandalizing his camera defending himself by saying, “Gee, judge. I thought it was okay. I thought he was just a citizen.”
How did whether or not LeBlanc is a journalist become an issue in the media and the court?
He wasn’t trying to break down any doors or assaulting police officers trying to defend participants in a meeting. He was simply standing taking pictures as CBC TV coverage clearly shows.
Mind you, LeBlanc did work hard to make his status as a journalist the issue. It is not.
It is important that all citizens realize that reporters have all the same rights citizens do and citizens have all the same rights reporters do. If it’s okay to beat up citizens but not to beat up reporters, reporters will have little support and sympathy from citizens when they need it.
The reverse example
The flip side of the LeBlanc situation occurred in the early 90’s when Keith Spicer was the head of a program of citizens forum public meetings across the country to discuss constitutional amendment with a view to keeping Quebec in Canada.
I attended several of these meetings and, each time, the forum facilitator offered the attendees the choice of having the media present or not.
What an outrage!
How can you have a public meeting and exclude the media? How can you invite citizens to a public meeting, as the ads for the forums did, and then suggest that media representatives are somehow not members of the public and can be excluded?
On that occasion too, none of the major media reacted to this imaginary differentiation between the rights of reporters and citizens generally.
In an ironic twist, Spicer, who so casually labeled reporters a lower caste of citizen with limited rights, eventually served a term as editor of the “Ottawa Citizen!”
Weird!

So when you see something on T V, or hear it on the
radio, or read it in the paper, don't believe it just because
it was said by a so-called scholar of God's Word. Always
remember that "ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY
INSPIRATION OF GOD, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR
DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR
INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS, THAT THE MAN OF
GOD MAY BE COMPLETE, THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED
FOR EVERY GOOD WORK." ( 2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17 )
Now this is why I teach God's Holy Word from
the Original Transcripts every Saturday, and not the
traditions and false doctrines that man has added to the
Bible! Therefore you will be better equipped to spot false
teaching when it is done!
There after Charles, you will only trust what is written
in the Bible, for Jesus said "IF YOU ABIDE IN MY WORD,
YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES INDEED. AND YOU SHALL
KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE
YOU FREE." ( JOHN 8:31-32 )

Last week while walking on the North Side of Fredericton, I noticed this guy sitting on the side of the River enjoying the sunset.
He told me that he was from Quebec!!!
He has been here for over one week and can’t locate any work.
I quickly told the guy to walk across the River to the New Brunswick Legislature?
I’m certain Dan Bussieres and the Quebec Security Staff will welcome you with open Arms!!!!
I wonder if he got hired because only les maudit Quebecois will be hired at the New Brunswick Legislature.
Did you know the Quebec Security staff spend over $100,000 so they can mentally and sexually Harass New Brunswickers?

P.S. This is a serious issue. If there was one New Brunswicker working at L’Assemblee Nationale du Quebec?
