"They said, 'Oh, you know, Ritalin is safe. It's safe. It's safe.' Ritalin is an amphetamine," the "War of the Worlds" star told "Access Hollywood" in an exclusive interview.

Cruise said because of his dyslexia, doctors in the 1970s wanted to put him on medication but his mother refused.

Instead, Cruise sought alternative methods of helping him with his disorder, including Study Tech learning at the Church of Scientology.

He's now passing the study tech on to others through his work with the Hollywood Education and Literacy Project (H.E.L.P.), while continuing his push to get kids off of meds.

"SAT scores have gone right down the toilet," Cruise told "Access Hollywood" co-host Billy Bush. "The parents are blaming the teachers. The teachers are blaming the parents. OK? And the psychs are putting everyone on drugs."

Of course Tom Cruise but his new girl friend much better looking even more. Lucky dude.

He is right about Ritalin and other drugs. I am considering to become scientologist. Good stuff.

You know who is really uugleee and abnoxious looking, Bernard Lord. He is damn ugly inside out the way he is ignoring children on Ritalin, children who are suffering because of VLT addictons of their parents and poor and helpless children. All Bernard Lord is interested in is play his stupid petty politics. Realy ugly and repulsive man and black spot on N.B. They must stop showing his hedious face on T.V. One feels like spitting on it but that makes T.v.dirty.

It is not a movie. I think it is lengthy interview by Access Hollywood.

Here are some reasons why Ritalin could be dangerous and must not be used indiscriminately, Lord govt does not care unfortunatle:

Ritalin Prescription Takes Life
Of 14 Year Old
"If I had heard that people are dying from Ritalin, I would have never given Matt the first pill." - Lawrence Smith whose son died from Ritalin.

Knowing fully well the dangers of Ritalin Bernard Lord and govt refuse to do anything about it. Is this man fit to be Premier? Of course not. He must have never been elected premier in the first place. Children and their innocent lives do not matter under Lord.
His politics is more important to him as he refuses to sign daycare deal with fed worth $100 million.

I must admit that when a Premier is not concern for the safety of our children? Then we have a major problem. I give up asking them to do a study! The drugging and killing of our children in New Brunswick will continue until the next Provincial Election!!!!

Tom Cruise treats his own ADHD by SMOKING. Adult patients who suffer from the sypmptoms of ADHD use the dopamine found in nicotine to be able to focus and concentrate. Would you have America's children use an FDA approved, safe prescription drug for the treatment of ADHD, or would you rather have them to smoke and die of lung cancer???
