Below was in today's Gleaner. This goes to show you how non-committal Volpe and Lord government is on the issue. Is Tim and others wasting their time as Lord government will not listen.

"....Volpe said that is no guarantee that the VLT policy in New Brunswick is going to change.

"We will see if we have time enough to do it by this fall," he said.

VLTs provide millions of dollars in revenues to provincial governments every year. But there has been a steady increase in public concern across the country about VLTs and gambling-related suicides.

Volpe said he is not feeling any public pressure to make changes.

He said studies show that New Brunswick has among the lowest rates of gambling addiction in the country and one of the lowest number of VLTs per capita in Canada."

Their not feeling any pressure in their own heads.

The only reason he is saying that is an election isn't forseeable for another 2+ years but he will then get the answer the voters have waiting for him,all 48% of this Province and growing.

The public is well aware of how wrong this program has gone and also the awareness of just how simple this party thinks the voters of New Brunswick really are.

There will be some changes at the ole house on this day of reckoning!!

He won't feel any pressure of the air exchange as the door swings by him on his way out either!!

You can only exploit society for so long that is why we re-elect every 4 years, well in their arrogant case 4½ years.

The reality of it is as much as the Conservative party hates to hear it,
The Liberals are going to enjoy getting the broom out and doing a 2005 SWEEP across this great land, and this will be through no fault other than the Conservatives have been exposing their own in house destruction.
The bonding of a couple of mismanaged and totally disorganized groups of carpet chasers that will never see eye to eye with one another because they spend too much time trying to outperform each other and see who can put their own foot in their mouths the quickest this party is beyond ever reorganizing or picking a leader with an inkling of leadership as this has been proven again and again by these very people who say we know what we're doing.

Take a load of this. Below is from editorial in Times and Transcript in today’s issue June 30. Did Bernard Lord write the editorial?

”No need to ban VLTS
We say: Taxpayers have already voted to keep VLTs in N.B.

New Brunswickers gave their opinion on video gaming in the May, 2001 referendum, where 53 per cent of voters said VLTs should remain in New Brunswick bars and restaurants. While this is not an overwhelming endorsement, it does indicate that a simple majority of voters see no need to further restrict the deployment of lottery terminals.”

Charles...I was listening to you on tott and you described the buses, Irvings and CCFT. when we went to F'ton that day in our rickity old bus you made fun of it on your site and tott. I'm not sure if I like you Charles, your a floppy sort, maybe jealous? Others hear you and if you aren't welcolmed somewhere maybe that's part of the reason why.

I don't know if you have selected hearing or what but I did say that the LNG protesters didn't have a fancy bus. They had an old school bus and this didn't slow them down one bite! They should be congratulated for a job very well done!!!! P.S. The next time you hear my voice on the talk show? Put the volume up!!!!...lol
