CHINESE STUDENTS IN SAINT JOHN SHOULD CONSIDER THEMSELVES FORTUNATE!!!!!!!!

china

I just watch the news on Global news and they showed the Mayor of Saint John Norm MacIrving meeting with the Chinese students concerning being attack for the sixth time in one week!

RACISN

They claimed that they were thrown ice, water or rotten eggs!

One young Chinese girl approached the Mayor with tears in her eyes!

Hey? This is Saint John!

Do you know for how many years the Acadians and the Blacks were violently attack for their cultures?

Hundreds were assaulted.

But these days, it’s not as bad!

The Chinese’s attack was very mellow compare to what the Government of China treats it’s own citizens.

So really? The Chinese has it made in Canada compared to their own country of origin!

For a man who spends so much energy on equality and fair treatment, you come off sounding like a racist. I am truly shocked by your comments here. You have no credibility after this. Someone needs to put an end to your random, senseless, destructive, ranting and name calling.
You lie to point out that no one who does not have ADHD or has been prescibed Ritalin understands your plight. Well let me tell you, you have not been to China and you have no creibilty speaking on this one.

I would have expected you to be against discrimination and racism against anyone. I think you do not know what racism is really about.

Cities become more diverse and welcoming when more people are welcomed. Your comments are not welcoming.

You have crossed the line and I no longer can tolerate you.

A bigot maybe but never a racist!

Cross the line? What do you mean? Did I say something wrong? Maybe the word- They claimed? Ok..it happen!

But the bottom line of this blog is that the students from China are very lucky to be living in Canada compared to China.

There's no human rights in China. You know that!

Did you know that all websites have to be registrer through the Government in China?

Thank God! This don't have to happen in Canada. I don't believe the Bernard Lord Government would ok this blog!

Also Bloggers are often jailed in China!

As for the Acadians and Blacks being single out in Saint John?

This is a true fact and it's still happening today! Look what happened to me with that racist supervisor from Gulf Operators of the Irving Empire?

I believe you missed my point in this blog!

C'est la vie!!!

Well, Charlie, you are constantly seeking redress from those who you feel have wronged you and your supporters. So why not do the right thing right away here, save face, show some credibility, be a man, do what you expect others to do.....and retract your comments, say you are sorry, and hope to regain your moral authority.

Yes he must retract. He is not only insulting Chinese but also Saint Johners. What he is saying is that: You think we ignorant now, you should have seen us when we used to be even more ignorant. That is an insult to Saint John people.

Hey? I never go by name calling but you guys or gals can say whatever you wish but what I'm saying- There's no human rights in China!!!

Did I write that I supported this shameful act? Of course not!!!!

What I'm saying is compared to the laws and human rights in China?

The students from China should considered themselves very lucky to be free to complain about this!

What's wrong with that now????

Maybe it's my French style that got some people upset?

Maybe I should have use the word fortunate and not lucky!

Now you are talking a bigger nonesense. Do you know the laws of China? Do those laws allow that you can throw eggs at fellow human-beings. You continue to reveal your ignorance not only about China but also Saint John.

You should consider yourself lucky then that they allowed you to register a complaint with the Human Rights Commission. They gave their decision. Just accept the decision, consider yourself lucky and shut the hell up. Why are you still complaining then??? What is your problem? Follow your own advice.

Blogger Charles LeBlanc said...

There!!!! I changed the word from Lucky to fortunate!

I don't understand why some people would be upset?

Did I supported these stupid acts?

Of course not!

All I'm saying if that these acts are mellow compare to what can happen if they were in China!

What's the matter? Have we forgot the thousands of students who got killed or murders in the square in the early 90s.

As for racism against minorities in Saint John?

Racism is very much alive but in people's mind these days.

But the sad part is that we cannot go to those racist members of the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission!

Just for the record? I never even send outt his blog yet?

Hey? If the the issue can be debated in a civilizes way?

That's all that matters!

Once again? I don't support what happen to the Chinese students in Saint John.

All I'm saying if that it could be worse in China!!!

Chinese journalist?? Sorry, she from Japan! Nice girl!!! What I'm saying if the way they gathered around in a room and complain to the Mayor of Saint John was a good thing and they should consider themselves fortunate that they can do this. Do you honestly believe they would be allowed in China? Think about it!!!!

Blogger Charles LeBlanc said...

I will not apologiZes for something that I know it's a fact!!!! THERE'S NO HUMAN RIGHTS IN CHINA!!!!!...Now go away!!!

I rest my case!!!

Charlie, you invite others to comment on your site. You have offended many with your comments. Why do you say "now go away". You can't deal with anyone except those who agree with your distorted self serving veiws.

Apologize. Your earlier comments make light of those who have been frieghtened by the inappropriate behaviour of some bullying individuals. You are making yourself very unwelcome amoung many of us who have in the past defended your rights. Now you are condoning the actions of those who trample on others rights.

Retract and say you are sorry.

The other writers are correct, who have no experience to comment on China.

Take it back. Say you are sorry and defend those who have been attacked.

Blogger Charles LeBlanc said...

Sorry...not going to happen in this lifetime!!! There are no human rights in China!!!

You say there are no human rights in New Brunswick, either. You say Human Rights Commission is racist. On the other hand you say Chinese people should consider themselves lucky. Make up your mind. You are very inconsistent and losing credibility. You rather have no credibility and not apologize or you want to re-establish your credibility.

It takes a big man to say they are wrong and say sorry. Are you a big man.

Charlie:

You are right in that there are no truly "human rights" in China.

However! For the record!

These students are our guests. Their parents and government must feel that Canada is the best place for them to learn about what a "Tolerant Society" is all about.

In the past China would never allow their people to be exposed to the Western way of life. It is a learning curve. If I was in the government of China's boots, I too would choose Canada as a place to educate my young because Canada is a caring society. Maybe not as caring as you would like, but still a caring society. We get along. We bitch, moan and complain but in the end we as Canadians do not take up arms against each other because we feel agrieved. That is the way it is done around the world. Just look at the wars that are being fought over the stupidest of things!

Canada was built on democracy. China was not. They were a feudal society. War Lords, the whole works.

It's a slow process but a process none the less. China is progressing. You have to give them some credit. WE are 30 million people. They number in the billions. You have to have leaders and that is what these students are learning to be.

Exposure to our way of life can only have a positive influence on China.

As a Canadian I am honored that we have the opportunity to influence the evolution of the Chinese Society.

As for the As*holes that feel the need to denigrate these students who at great personal sacrifice to their families and themselves chose to come to Canada and learn a better way of life I say, "SHAME ON YOU!" Get a life! Join the Forces and learn self respect, and self esteem, two qualities you are obviously in need of.

To the last comment? I say- Very well said!!!!

There is a misunderstanding here and mixing of governments with whole society. Most Americans do not approve of unjust war in Iraq. American youth is dying there and so are innocent women and children in Iraq. Thus American government sucks but majority of American are very decent people. Like Chinese society and Chinese people are one of the most decent in the world. Now if they have dictatorial government that is and altogether different issue.

We are talkig of some punks which are carrying out these attacks and givning bad name to Saint John. To say that despite these assualts Chineses student are better off here than in China is wrong. China has laws against such hate crimes too.

We are not talking about government of N.B. as people continue to make comparisons of government in China and governments here.

Try to understand Charles, its like your situation being hated most places you go then you find a nice place like fredericton, where instead of retaliating like most places we mostly chose to ignore you for your stupidity.

P.s. Everytime I read your blog i ponder to myself which of yoru blog postings is the most rediculous, and each time you give me something new to compare and for that I thank you.

cheers charles,
Thanks again for your efforts
