IS BERNARD LORD BEING AN HYPOCRITE????

ptlepreau_photo

Please let me know if I’m the only one who’s confuse here.

For months and months Bernard Lord would stand in the House of the Legislature and give a blast to the Federal Liberals about the sponsorship scandal.

Even if it had nothing to do with the issues in New Brunswick.

He would always condemn Paul Martin in the Legislature.

Now? He turns around and want some money????

Excuse me but is it only me who’s missing the point here?

There was no way in the world that the Federal Liberals would give some money to Bernard Lord for Point Lepreau after being blasted in the House for months and months!!!

Am I right or wrong???

baby

I believe that Bernard is being an hypocrite on this issue!!!

Just like many other infantile actions by Bernard Lord he was too sure of himself. He was so cocky. He thought minority govt in Ottawa can be intimidated as he intimidates NBers quite often. He was going over the heads of too many people ignoring federal/provincial jurisdictions. The sad fact is that it is the NBers who are going to be screwed in the end.

For Immediate Release

July 17, 2005

SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Senior officials from Atomic Energy of Canada Limited will meet with a number of local community leaders to discuss the future of the Point Lepreau generating station.

The meeting, which has been organized by Saint John Member of Parliament Paul Zed, will be held on Wednesday, July 20 at 10 a.m. in Mr. Zed’s constituency office, 90 King Street, Saint John.

“AECL is an important federal Crown corporation that will play a critical role in the future of Point Lepreau,” Mr. Zed said. “I requested this meeting to impress upon AECL officials just how important Point Lepreau is to Saint John, in particular, and to New Brunswick as a whole.”

Among those scheduled to attend are AECL president and chief executive officer Bob Van Adel, senior vice-president and chief operating officer Ken Petrunik, general counsel and corporate secretary Allan Hawryluk, board chairman Ray Frenette, Saint John Mayor Norm McFarlane, Pat Darrah of the Saint John Construction Association, Enterprise Saint John representatives Stephen MacMackin and Dale Knox, Tim Curry of the Atlantica Centre for Energy, and Ross Galbraith of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

“Everyone involved needs to work overtime to find a workable way to refurbish Point Lepreau,” Mr. Zed said. “This is an important asset that satisfies a third of New Brunswick's electricity needs and employs 700 people.”

Point Lepreau is Atlantic Canada’s only nuclear facility.
