Is this the best you can come up with little irving?

Whats the deal?
It doesnt mater what anyone drives.
Not everyone is a lazy bum and lives on welfare like you do.

Maby he is leasing it, maby he saved his money so he could afford to live comfortable.
Maby his wife has a good job.
Oh thats right you dont know what a job is because your close to mental retardation.
Just because little irving is a lazy bum that mooches of our tax dollars doesnt mean everyone is.

Little irving will probably deleat this post because I dont agree with his vews like the Irving paper.

Its not like you dont have anything beter to do.
Your close to a mental retard and you cant work.

Some really bored people out there somewhere. Not very nice ones either, didn't your mother ever teach you if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything?

I found it very interesting Charles, not everything has to be a grand conspiracy, some of it is just providing information. For me, I want to see more. If you can get pictures of all their cars then I'd love to see them, for no other reason than to see what they are driving. That's YOUR job, Charles, and you do it damn well, of course some people's idea of work is to sit on their asses and call people names.

I doubt readership has dropped, you're just mistaking the lack of people arguing with readership. Just because every tidbit isn't hashed out from here to eternity doesn't mean anything about the readership level.

I would have took other pictures of the cars the Ministers are driving but he was the only one there....hey???? At least, it shows that the Justice Minister is on the job....as for the name calling? Well, I wish they would talk about the issue in the blog but what can you do? I deleted a few but no more. I'll just continue to blog away.....thanks for the kind words of wisdom....

SUV's,Landrovers you get the picture.
Show the members that got into politics for the fun and money not to mention all those perks,So we know who is taking the the pain WITH the people
and who has to go next election for enjoying Joe's money a little too much.

Charles, I don't follow the letter above at all, the only way to know what all the MLA's are driving is to show what they are driving, that means ALL of them. Isn't the legislature in session? Aren't these people at work? To bad there aren't more like you, Charles, we could actually keep a tab on how many days of the year these people actually work.

Spinks arguments be damned, these people have it far sweeter than the vast majority of New Brunswickers.

Anyone who thinks MLAs aren't working when the Legislature isn't sitting has their head up their butt. These people work 60 hours a week, minimum. Everywhere they go people approach them with their concerns. Any MLA that isn't on the job pretty much all the time does not last.

With triple the salary since Lord took over they must. But we do not know they work 60 hours a week.
You sound like Spinks guy. CBC workers do not work hard enough and MLAs are overworked, the mantra which was repeated many times.

I didn't say MLA are overworked: I disagreed with the person (1:05 p.m.) who strongly suggested they do not work hard. I said nothing about CBC workers or Spinks.

Most MLAs work very hard. It's nothing to do with government versus opposition, or Liberal vs. PC vs. NDP, they almost all work hard.

I've been involved in politics off and on (mostly off lately), Liberal side, but I respect the work ethic of MLAs and MPs in all parties. They deserve more respect. Not more money or perqs, but more respect for their efforts.

ok, end of sermon. :)

There is no punch clock, so there's no real way of gauging how many hours they work. Most MLA's have secretaries and office administrators, I've often had considerable difficulty actually getting to an MLA.

THe idea that if they don't work hard they don't last isn't very accurate. It's not like there are stalkers making election issues out of how often they are at the office. While often people will vote for a candidate, just as often, or even more often, people vote along party lines, which means it makes no difference how much they work.

ANd it depends how you define work. It's not like they are smeltering in the hot sun or freezing in the cold, it's not like they are run off their feet bringing food or drinks to people, it's not like their glued to a computer screen because they've got a deadline that their boss insists on even though it's crazy. It's not like they are endangering themselves physically on a construction site, in a mine, in the forest, on a roof, in a basement, or lugging heavy gear.

It's not like they are cold calling clients because they know if they don't sell their kids don't eat, it's not like they're wracking their brain and working twice as hard because of increased competition. To me THAT"S work!

What does an MLA do? Well, if you have a complaint they will try to find information for you, sort of like a librarian. Or if you are trying to locate something, they will help-sort of like a tour operator. And for that they get paid far better than people in either of those professions.

They can put in a word for you, or recommend you to somebody, but they certainly can't change policy for you, they certainly can't help you if your problem pertains to municipal or federal government, they certainly can't help you to accomplish anything. So 'work' really is relative.

12:38 well put. "Work" is really relative. Some work hardly and yet get paid handsomely. Only be there at the doors of people during election. Then they sweat a bit.

Brad looks like a cat who is just swallowed the canary.

12:38 needs to dig his head out of his butt - just because work isn't blue collar doesn't mean it's not difficult, tiring or challenging.

It's narrow and outdated views like yours that makes this blog such a laugh to read.

Definitely the best comedy site on the net!

12:33 AM. Do MLAs really work 60 hours a week. Stop creating myths. Lord is already good at that. Now you have started on his behalf.
