Um, maybe you're joking, 4:14, but just in case: all MLAs get the same pay package, and all get bthe same compensation for travel expenses. Al they all buy their own cars and their own gas, government or opposition, unless they're ministers.
Yes Ministers get all the perks. Government MLAs fair better as they sit on all kinds of Committees and chair committees. Hence their compensation is greater than the rest of the Oppostion MLAs. Lord tripled their compensation any way. Lord knows how to misuse tax dollars.
So what is being said here is that it's okay for opposition MLA's to drive whatever they want but not government MLA's or ministers. What hyprocritical bulls@@t. If government can't do it neither can opposition. We pay them too.
I just wish to make myself clear on one issue? I also took a picture of Kelly Lanbrock and Rick Doucet vehicle but they never turned out! These were the only Liberal MLA's vehicles I saw around. I just don't hunt down the P.C'S vehicles. Hey? Maybe someone can help me by taking a picture of their local MLA transportation toy and send it to me at
8:14 PM there is a difference buying by your own money and buying with taxpayers' money. Vehicles for Lord and Ministers are paid by the taxpayers over and above their salaries and perks. Insurance and gas is paid too. Oppositoin MLAs do not have those priviliges.
Ridiculous. Don't think for 2 seconds that Burke wouldn't be driving the same thing if not fancier if the Liberals were in power. Same goes for Weir. They should all get the same vehicle probably some type of mini-van because there's often an entourage with them and that would end the debate.
A Hummer and Rolls Royce IS ridiculous. A mini-van is fine - Dodge Chrysler, something like that, no add-ons. Simple, same for everybody. Probably get a discount for buying in bulk.
Given the quality of their work they should walk or take a bus and their salary should not be more than $260 a month same as welfare recepients. At least welfare recepients do not cause any harm to others the way these turkeys are causing harm.
75% of people on welfare are just too lazy to work and are a burden on the economy. There fully capable to work but they dont want to get up in the morning. They get all there medical prescription, eye glasses and probably dental paied for by us hard working people. There the ones that are allways complaining about everything.
The other 25% (I have no problem with them)have mental or phisical problems that prevents them from holding a job.
When welfare recipients start working for that money you have a point. If welfare was too generous more people wouldn't want to work. Some people have to be on welfare for reasons like being a single mother or father or disabled but otherwise there are plenty of jobs that pay more than $260.00 a month. Instead of complaining for more money, they should get some honest work.
If I had my way I would force everyone that is on welfare that is fully capable to work to prouve that he has applied for 10 jobs a week. If he hasnt applied for at least 10 jobs then, NO WELFARE FOR YOU! If a person quits a job without a good reason then it would be like unimployment insurence. If you dont have a valid reason for quiting your job then. NO WELFARE FOR YOU!
I would put all those lazy welfare bums in the canadian army then ship them in a sea king helicoptor somewhere where they will earn there welfare checque by working for there country.
Do not forget to put Bernie, Elvy, Percy, Tony and rest of the bums on that sea king helicoptor. They are wasting lot of money and causing lot of harm.
