Great Job Premier keep up the good work. That is why Pc's are in power they don't take anything that comes to them like the liberals do.
Bull 3:25. Lord had no choice. After today all that money was gone as federal government falls on Monday. He caved in at the last minute.
Sorry for double posting charlie but You were having problems with this story at the time and I believe this comment better suits this story.
///////////////////////////////////
Lets not forget it was(((Mr.Lord))) who just a couple of days ago said very firmly that the Liberals are fear mongering over the daycare package.
He said it doesn't matter if this deal is signed before or after friday as it has absolutly nothing to do with whether or not the Federal Government falls or not.
So he insists he will continue to hold out for the best overall deal.
Now all of a sudden with less than 24hrs to go all of a sudden he's miraculously had a change of heart??????????
I don't think so...He knows very well this would definitly be the garanteed back breaker of his and his party's careers if this was to slip through his fingers out of pure stupidity and self erragance.
He has basicly dambed himself either was because if he didn't sign he would have surely lost this deal and now that he will sign he has proven that he can hold out no longer and must now conceed his true purpose was nothing more than playing politics with the Children,Parents and Daycares of New Brunswick.
Which in turn, once again proves that Mr.Lord has no idea how to handle the job of running the Province of New Brunswick's business or purse.
And also at most of what he tries is from the cuff and at best a guess that it will err in his favour.
The Vision that once stirred his eagerness to get involved and help the people of this Province has long sence gone the way of his career.--OverBoard with Mr.Lord!
I'm sorry along with more than half the families in NB that he caved to the pressure. Hopefully he comes up with something for the one-income families because the federal Liberals have already proved they don't care about families with stay-at-home moms or dads.
I would like to comment if I may. I think it is about time that the Politicians who are in federal level, and the ones who are at the Provincial level, start working together on behalf of all of the voting public. I am so discussted with all the end fighting and bantoring that takes place in the peoples houses. "NB LEGISLATURE-HOUSE OF COMMONS". Canadians and especially the voting public are getting sick and tired of the same old thing A message to your fony high'priced fat who are messing around with the taxpayer's money. Get it together and do what you were voted in for help all people to be contributing members of society.
Finally, Mr. Mackay gets off the family values and says something we can all agree on!

My spies in Ottawa tell me that Harbour Cleanup is a GOOOOOOOOO!
With or WITHOUT his Lordship!
You heard it here FIRST! The only FREE VOICE OF THE PROVINCE!
I don't know why people are so opposed to minority governments, we've never had so much getting done during a liberal majority government for ten years (except cuts, cuts, cuts)

According to Andy Scott province approached the Federal Government saying that they were ready to sign both deals, childcare and gas tax rebate. So Lord did cave in at the last minute.
On gas tax province is putting in $90M to be able to say that rural areas are getting the share. How stupid Lord thinks people are. He could have signed this deal sometime ago and then spend $90M for rural area. We do have an idiot for a Premier. Too bad.
