Probably curiosity to see what people are saying. The same reason some members of the media and MLA's visit. They probably want to know what's being said about them. I think it's a good thing that these folks do visit here and other blogs for that matter. It gives them an idea what some people are saying when they're fairly free to say what they want.

I thought about the headline and this is my conclusion.

THEY ARE LOOKING FOR THE TRUTH!!!!!

They have gone through just about every editor in the Province, corrupt most of them and then showed them the door.

I guess there's nobody worth talking about left within the walls of New Brunswick to help spread their innuendoes, lies, half truths, and gossip column.

So they are here seeking whom ever will help go door to door begging New Brunswickers to buy their By-est flyer-The Telegragh-Who???????before they have to admit it's going broke.

There's nothing I would love better than to be haul up in court because of this Blog.....I have many more stories on the Irvings that was email to me but I'll wait till the election is done. After Monday things will return to normal in this blog. This reminds me of the time Tim Smith was protesting in front of the Legislature. This blog was always busy. When something of any importance comes out? The blog gets busy! I would love to know how many people have bookmart this site?

I would hope the Irvings wouldn't waste their time or money taking Charles to court. I doubt they ever would because short of the Hitler stuff, and even that would be a long shot, nothing is libellous here against Irving. It's just opinion. If Irving or anyone else tried to take Charles to court over stating his opinion, I'm pitching a tent next to Charles on the Legislature lawn. Free speech is way too important even when you don't agree what someone says.

It could be any of the thousand of Irving employees.
It can be a secretary or a janitor.
It doesn’t mean that a big shot Irving is looking at the site.

Anonymous said...

It's probably Irving Security. Most employees wouldn't dare surf this site on company time because their web activity is constantly monitored by the head servers! Sounds a lot like China!

Just like their trucks they track their employees!

Soooooooooooo glad I escaped!

Anonymous said...

If you work for a major trucking company like Midland or Armour they all track there trucks and drivers.
I know a few truckers that work for midland and they all say that there treated good and get paid well.

I do not know why you are all complaining.
In Moncton if you have a job working for the Irving’s whether it is the tissue plant, the diaper plant or midland, etc you are considered to have a good job with a above average wages and good benefits.
When Charles was working at the dry dock he was making great money.
If they are so bad to work for why does so many people keep applying for work there?
Probably all the lazy workers that were let go are the ones that are always complaining.

Hey 8:36 PM
Where did you escape to?

Anonymous said...

After I escaped I went on u.i.c. and when that ran out I got on welfare and I an still on welfare.
Why? what are you getting at?

Anonymous said...

he probably failed a piss test (drug test)

It also sounds a lot like a company that wants it's employees working not slacking off.

I’m making 40gs a year at the tissue plant in moncton. I do not have a high position either, I also have full benefits.
The Irving’s might do some shifty stuff but it is a good place to work. I would have a hard time making half that with other companies.
I will tell you this.
If your a slacker you will not last long there.
when I worked at the St.John shipyard in the 80s it was the opposite there. most workers there were slackers, me included.
That’s why they shut that place down. Employees were getting paid very good but were scratching there butt most of the time.
same with the cnr in moncton.
Lazy unproductive employees caused the shutdown of the cnr in moncton and the same thing happened in the shipyard in st. John.
I know some companies that will not hire you if they know you worked at the shipyard or the cnr because you are known as a slacker.

With all due respect 9:38 just sounds like he trying to draw M.T.H.G. into slinging hash on welfare but as he said he was smart enough to resist.

Good for you maurice the homeless guy!!

You've gotta be kidding me? Mulroney shut down CNR and Martin shut down SJ Shipbuilding because of the workers? Get real! It MIGHT have been one more reason why Irvings didn't cry and whine more when they shut it down and simply took their 50 million dollars from the feds. Canada is one of the ONLY countries in the world that doesn't build its own ships, all now thanks to Paul Martin, coincidentally 'head' of Canada Steamship lines, based in the Cayman islands.

I know somebody who had a job interview at an Irving trucking company, their trucks are GPS monitored, and this person was asked how their 'firing skills' were. This person was told that there are so many out of work truckers in NB that truckers are immediately fired if they are ten minutes late on a single delivery and one of this person's jobs would be to fire them. Talk about pay scales all you want, when there's not very many of them and they are under those conditions, life doesn't sound so sweet.

Irvings don't act that much differently than most corporations, they leave workers alone so long as they are making money, they'll even tolerate a union.

So the same criticisms against them are identical to other corporations-that government helps them with research and technology which continues to displace workers, that their industries are typically hard on the environment, and that they disproportionately benefit from legislation.

The problem occurs when these companies get hold of government, which they have just about every level in Canada. Most provinces have at least some kind of balance between competing business interests, in NB that's not the case. The LNG deal is just one example, the 50 million 'gift' for closing the shipyard is another, but the list goes on. When they own all the media then it becomes even more suspect, and rightly so. While we only nominally have a democracy in this country, virtually nobody maintains that you can have any kind of free society with a biased press.

The cnr shops in moncton was known to have the laziest workers.
I know lots of people that showed up and slept most of the day and after there shift was over they would go work at a other jobs.
My neighbor worked there and was told when he started there that he wasn’t suppose to work more then 3 hrs. a day. They told him to play cards or something the rest of there shift.
It was a total joke there. Its a miracle that it stayed open that long.
I had a boss that would always ask people who applied for work the same question. Where did you work before?
If they said the cnr then he wouldn’t hire them. He said that these people don’t know how to work.
We all agreed with him.

Actually, the explanation is a bit simpler than than that. I don't have your site bookmarked, Mr. LeBlanc, so when I want to see what's been written lately about the Telegraph-Journal's coverage, I google "Chales LeBlanc". since Chales LeBlanc is a fairly common name, I google "Chalres LeBlanc" and "Irving" - or "Charles LeBlanc" and "ADHD," both topics I know you've posted a great deal of information on. It's no different than listening to Talk of the Town - just another way of paying attention to what really matters to people in Saint John. I would guess most of your "Irving" traffic is from reporters and editors, who turn to your site the same way we turn to the radio, TV community newsletters and scanner - to get a better sense of what's happening in the community we're reporting on.

Sincerely,
Eric Marks

You are very welcome to visit here as many time as you wish. But one advice? Don't let James or Jamie Irving catch ya because you'll be fired on the spot and they own all the newspapers in this Province. Sorry...the irvings wish to call it FLYERS!!!!...Have fun!!!!
