FATHER DANIEL THIVIERGE DEAD AT A YOUNG AGE OF 31 YEARS OLD!!!!
Here I sit in my little room at around 11:15pm on a Thursday evening and I must admit that I am very sad.
I just learned a couple of hours ago that Father Daniel Thivierge died this morning in his hometown in La Belle Province at a very young age of 31 years old.
I first met this young ordained Catholic Priest during the past summer.
Because of the scandals in the Churches, it makes a person wonder- Why is this handsome man a Priest?
The scandals has ruined it for all the good Priests but they continue on to preach the word of the Lord.
On a nice warm Sunday morning, this young Priest full of happiness showed up at the doors of L’Eglise Sainte-Anne-des-Pays-Bas.
He was an ordained Priest from the Canadian Armes Forces located in Gagetown. He was the youngest serving Roman Catholic priest in the Armed Forces.
He quickly bowed to Father Brien.
I found that action very interesting. It was just as he was bowing with respect to the Master Priest who has been ordained 40 years ago.
Maybe Father Brien was thinking – My God? How time flies? This young Priest is ready to take over the reign.
Father Thivierge put his white robe on and with great pride gave the service beside Father Brien.
It was nice to see these two individuals standing side by side praising the word of the Lord.
It’s a darn shame that I didn’t have my camera with me.
I had a little conversation with the young Priest and I quickly found out that I am very very very lucky I have Father Brien as a priest.
What a huge difference in a conversation from a Priest you have known for 40 years compare to someone you have just met.
You must be very careful with your choice of words because it takes a very long time for each of us to know the other person.
There’s one episode that stands out in my mind that I will never forget.
As I have been doing for the past year? I would pick up the church booklets after the service.
On a certain Sunday, Father Thivierge walked by me after the service and I told him - If you would have told me 30 years ago that one day I’ll be doing this???
I would have told you that you were crazy!!!
The young Priest paused for a second and said - Only an imbecile doesn’t change and continued out the door.
My God??? That’s good!!!
I told Father Brien that the young Priest was good with lines.
Only a imbecile doesn’t change? It sure made me think?
In early December, Father Brien gave his usual 3 to 5 minutes news after the services.
He announced to the congregation that Father Daniel Thivierge had Cancer.
I almost shouted from the back- WHAT?????
After the service Father Brien told me that he had 2 weeks to live.
My God? It was terrible!!!
I followed Father Brien to Sunday School but I never paid attention to his words od wisdom because all of my five ADHD brains were on Father Thivierge tragic event.
Afterwrds, we were discussing the sad news while people were coming in for the noon services.
Everyone was joyful once they arrive but soon joy of life quickly turned to eyes of tears.
One individual shouted- THERE’S NO JUSTICE!!!
I heard that one woman cried all day long.
The news shook L’Eglise Sainte-Anne-des-Pays-Bas very hard.
Myself, I didn’t feel good. It was a very long and sad walk from the top of the hill to my place.
I took the news very hard and it makes a person asking themselves- Why??? Why??? Why???
Of course many family members would ask themselves the same question if they lose a young child.
As Father Brien always told me - It’s not for us to understand now but we will truly understand later.
I made a little oath to myself.
I said that I will try not to lose my temper in public. If I get angry? I will used it in this blog.
If I get mad? I’ll think of the Father Thivierge.
I located his picture in a newspaper and I got it laminated and put it in my wallet.
I will carry that picture with me till the end of times.
He was in this world for such a short period and his death will not be in vain.
I took the news so serious that a few days later? I bumped into Bernard Lord.
You can read the blg at target="_blank">Charles
Blog
This is the issue that I was talking with the Premier about. I was telling him to keep his ears open and maybe he can send a letter to his family in Quebec?
When the three amigos Jody, Jack Carr and Trevor Holder stop the Van to interrupt into our conversation? If they would have known the issue we were talking about? They would have kept on trucking.
The Premier never once return his emails in 6 years so maybe if someone reads this from the Premier’s office?
They can let him know about the news. If not? I guess that I have to go at the Centennial Building to call them myself.
Yes, it is indeed a very sad day for the French Catholic population in the Capital and Gagetown.
As Father Brien told me - I was looking at him as the future rising star. Father Brien’s days as a Priest are maybe numbered < I pray every day that he stays for many years to come >
Father Brien truly believe that young ordained Priests such as Father Thivierge are ready to take over the helm but sometime it doesn’t happen that way?
Why did God take this individual away from us?
An individual who dedicated his short life to God? Sure makes a person wonder?
Myself? I’m 46 years old and I had quite a life. I met some very
interesting individual but I will never forget Father Daniel Thivierge.
May God Bless his soul and my deepest sympathy goes out to his family in La Belle Province.

This is a email from Father Brien. He sent me this note weeks ago!

I find it fitting that I should use God's minute in this blog. I haven't used them in a few days!
CAUSE ME TO HEAR YOUR LOVING KINDNESS IN THE
MORNING, FOR IN YOU I DO TRUST; CAUSE ME TO KNOW
THE WAY IN WHICH I SHOULD WALK, FOR I LIFT UP MY
SOUL TO YOU.
( PSALM 143:8 *NKJV )
Dear Charles,
As you may know, when we invite God into our life, and
ask HIM to take control of our "life and will," we start on the
journey to become the person that we were meant to be.
For it is written; IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW
CREATION; OLD THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD,
ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW.
( 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17-18 )
This is because God begins to reshape us into that person.
It is written; BUT NOW, O LORD, YOU ARE OUR FATHER;
WE ARE THE CLAY, AND YOU OUR POTTER; AND ALL
WE ARE THE WORK OF YOUR HAND. ( ISAIAH 64:8 )
Now as we become that new person, God will lead us
to the path that He chosen for us to walk. It is then that we
become filled with the Holy Spirit, as well as, THE FRUIT
OF THE SPIRIT WHICH IS LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE,
KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS,
AND SELF-CONTROL. AGAINST SUCH THINGS THERE
IS NO LAW. ( GALATIANS 5:22-23 )
So Charles, why not ask God to take control of your "life
and will" today, if you haven't already? Also say to Him;
SHOW ME YOUR WAYS, O LORD; TEACH ME YOUR
PATHS. LEAD ME IN YOUR TRUTH AND TEACH ME,
FOR YOU ARE THE GOD OF MY SALVATION. Amen.
( PSALM 25:4-5 )
Now Charles, have a wonderful weekend, and remember
that God loves you, and so do I!
With My Love & Prayers,
your servant Allen

A GENTLE ANSWER TURNS AWAY WRATH, BUT A
HARSH WORD STIRS UP ANGER.
( PROVERBS 15:1* NIV )
Dear Charles,
We all become angry sometimes with the words or
actions of another. When we do it is important that we
do not respond to them with words of anger. For it is
written; HE WHO GUARDS HIS MOUTH AND HIS
TONGUE KEEPS HIMSELF FROM CALAMITY, and oh
how true that is indeed! ( PROVERBS 21:23 )
The Apostle Paul wrote;
DO NOT LET ANY UNWHOLESOME TALK COME OUT
OF YOUR MOUTHS, BUT ONLY WHAT IS HELPFUL
FOR BUILDING OTHERS UP ACCORDING TO THEIR
NEEDS, THAT IT MAY BENEFIT THOSE WHO LISTEN.
( EPHESIANS 4:29 ) Further, James the half brother of
Jesus' wrote; OUT OF THE SAME MOUTH COME PRAISE
AND CURSING. MY BROTHERS, THIS SHOULD NOT BE.
( JAMES 3:10 )
After all; PLEASANT WORDS ARE A HONEYCOMB,
SWEET TO THE SOUL AND HEALING TO THE BONES.
( PROVERBS 16:24 ) So Charles, keep your words
soft, sweet and pleasing to our Heavenly Father. After
all He hears every word that we say!
So just as King David did, remember these words when
someone angers you. Then next time before your anger
can take control, recite them in your mind. "MAY THE
WORDS OF MY MOUTH AND THE MEDITATION OF MY
HEART BE PLEASING IN YOUR SIGHT, O LORD, MY
ROCK AND MY REDEEMER. Amen. ( PSALM 19:14 )
With My Love & Prayers,
your servant Allen

And Jesus said; "DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED
TRUST IN GOD; TRUST ALSO IN ME."
( JOHN 14:1 *NIV )
Dear Charles,
When troubles come into your life, turn them over to God to
handle, for it is written; THE LORD ALSO WILL BE A
REFUGE FOR THE OPPRESSED, A REFUGE IN TIMES
OF TROUBLE. AND THOSE WHO KNOW YOUR NAME
WILL PUT THEIR TRUST IN YOU, FOR YOU, LORD HAVE
NOT FORSAKEN THOSE WHO SEEK YOU.
( PSALM 9:9-10 )
After all; THE SALVATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS IS FROM
THE LORD; HE IS THEIR STRENGTH IN THE TIME OF
TROUBLE. AND THE LORD SHALL HELP THEM AND
DELIVER THEM; HE SHALL DELIVER THEM FROM THE
WICKED , AND SAVE THEM, BECAUSE THEY TRUST IN
HIM. ( PSALM 37:39-40 )
King David experienced this for he wrote, THOUGH I WALK
IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLE, YOU WILL REVIVE ME;
YOU WILL STRETCH OUT YOUR HAND AGAINST THE
WRATH OF MY ENEMIES, AND YOUR RIGHT HAND WILL
SAVE ME. ( PSALM 138:7 )
So even when; WE ARE HARD PRESSED ON EVERY SIDE,
YET NOT CRUSHED; WE ARE PERPLEXED, BUT NOT IN
DESPAIR; PERSECUTED, BUT NOT FORSAKEN; STRUCK
DOWN BUT NOT DESTROYED. When we trust the Lord with all
our heart. ( 2 CORINTHIANS 4:7-9 )
SO DO NOT THROW AWAY YOUR CONFIDENCE; IT WILL
BE RICHLY REWARDED. YOU NEED TO PERSEVERE SO
THAT WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THE WILL OF GOD, YOU WILL
RECEIVE WHAT HE HAS PROMISED. Amen.
( HEBREWS 10:35-36 )
Now have a wonderful day Charles, and may God Bless You!
With My Love & Prayers,
Pastor Allen

Charlie:
Such a sad ending to such a promising young man! Someone had more important work in store for sure.
"Tempest Fugit, Momento Mori!"
translation.
"Time Flies, Remember Death"
God bless and take care.
to 11:06pm? very well said.
Subject:Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed
Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this Happen?" (regarding Katrina)
Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives.
And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"
In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.
Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school . the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.
Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.
Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves.
Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says
Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Are you laughing?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they WILL think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in.
Father Dan will be greatly missed, he touched many lives and was such a great inspriration to all. Any one who met him felt his aura. A gentle soul filled with the spirit of Christ.God must have wanted him for bigger and better things. A great man....so young but yet so wise....
Charles,
I am so glad I read this blog today; it reminded me how one time I raised my voice at someone because I was impatient. I did apologize and I am greatful for the gift of forgiveness that comes along with needing to be forgiven.
Everyone can change, that is greatest gift of free choice. Father Daniel Thivierge seems to have impacted many lives for the better. What a gift to GOD!
Thanks again Charles for your work on this blog and sharing truth as you see it.
I too, await the return of Christ.
GOD bless you.
