HAVE ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING ABOUT THIS STORY????

Received this from Tim Smith yesterday but nothing in the papers!!!!

Hey I tried looking on msn a couple of times to see if you were on but as of yet no luck so I'll just try to fill you in.....

My sister called me and told me they have a jumper on the walk bridge that goes over the highway from city road to celebration street he is on the top side of the fence that wraps the bridge and has a teather tied to him and clipped to the caged fencing he is holding a big sign on a poll it is dark green in color with the words 1 answer 1 vote (????) I didn't know what that stood for so anyway I decided to go right up underneath the walk bridge on the highway to get close enough to read the sign and to hear some of what he might be saying ....From what I gather he is wanting to talk to Brad Green also I was to learn he has done this sort of thing in the past but on a different bridge it is now 2pm which is around the 5th hour or so of this standoff.
The traffic is not running on that part of the highway as if he jumps he has just enough rope that he would hang at the level of being hit by a passing truck or large vehicle.
Anyhow I know your not blogging but I'm sending this your way anyway he is about our age about 180lbs dark hair and beard.

Charles :

To the best of my knowledge, there wasn't anything in the morning paper about the chap who did the protest thing, and caused the traffic tie up, I'll double look again, to be extra sure ;

Go after the Newspaper about Chico's ordeal, if they give you a hard time, tell then in a nice way, this isn't about me, it's about a Living Creature A Pet:

This story was in todays Morning paper about Dogs : Here it is : I think Chico deserves the same, don't you Old Friend,

So you are so busy with work and the kids that you can't find time to get your pet groomed? So you don't have a way to get Fido to the groomer?

No problem.

Barb Thompson will come to you, and give Rover a fresh 'do in the parking lot at work or in your driveway.

The proprietor of a new mobile businesses called Groom 'N Zoom, Ms. Thompson has been a groomer for 25 years, and once worked for a similar venture in Guelph, Ont.

She recently bought a van from a mobile groomer going out of business in Ontario, customized it and can now bathe a dog and give it a haircut wherever it is most convenient for her customers. The van has its water supply, a water heater, bathtub and furnace, as well as a hydraulic grooming table and the rest of the equipment common to storefront groomers. The roof of the vehicle is even pitched high enough so that Ms. Thompson can stand at the table and work comfortably.

Based out of Bayswater on the Kingston Peninsula, Ms. Thompson is within 20 minutes of three ferries, making it easy for her to serve clients in Grand Bay-Westfield, Greater Saint John and in Rothesay and Quispamsis.

"I started a home-based grooming business on the peninsula, but I wasn't getting enough business to make a livelihood at it," said Ms. Thompson, who also breeds Kerry blue terriers and operates Kissing Bridge Kennel. "I think I groomed just about every dog on the peninsula. "

Ms. Thompson said her phone has been ringing off the hook since she went into business on Jan. 6, becoming the first mobile groomer in Atlantic Canada.

"I knew there was a need for this," she said. "It has already proving to be a popular business."

Ms. Thompson, who has seven dogs of her own and has served as a judge at the Toronto Sportsman's Show, can groom as many as five dogs a day, with no extra fees charged for a flea bath or medicated bath. Cost varies depending on the size and breed, but is generally about $10 more than standard grooming fees: $40 to $50 for short-haired dogs, $45 to $55 for small dogs like cockers and poodles, $40 to $50 for medium-sized dogs with short hair and $60 to $70 for large dogs like golden retrievers .

Most groomings take about one hour and include brushing, bathing and clipping, and blow-drying, as well as taking care of a dog's nails, ears and glands.

Ms. Thompson has a website: www.kerrybluesbangor.com, and accepts appointments by phone at 763-2681

Hi, I know about this story. It's Steve Osborne of Saint John. He was arrested for "mischief" and ordered to appear in the court sometime down the road. It was all over the radio and tv yesterday apparently. People may remember Steve from his unique way of drawing attention to his fight for justice in the Family Courts, for example, by wearing a woman's dress and sporting a sandwich board that says some pretty "interesting" things about the gender bias that is built into the Justice system, all the while standing in front the Justice building and handling interviews with the media as well as educating passersby about the circumstances of his case. Believe me, he's too stubborn to kill himself. Steve is the quintessential protester, he has been trying to draw attention to Justice Guerrette's decision in Family Court that saw Steve lose access to his children on the basis of a lie that was told by Steve's wife. When confronted with the lie, Justice Guerrette said it was a just a little lie, hence Steve's one man campaign to change the family courts so that perjury is not allowed. You can see more about Steve on the web. There are some great articles written by him about the mess in the family courts. Here are a few:

Hey Charles and Tim,

I am living on the lower end of Wright St. right now, and living on the 3rd floor it overlooks the highway. We first spotted the man on top of the walkway at about 11:30 am, a couple pedestrians stayed with the man the entire time. He was holding up a green sign, I couldn't tell what it said, but it was clear he was protesting something. The police from what I understand had both sides of the main highway blocked off so that if the man did jump he would not be hit. About 1:30 or so he finally was coaxed down and traffic was allowed to start up again (it had just started snowing then, maybe the man was convinced it would get too slippery to stay up there, I don't know.)

Anyway, that's what happened as I saw it.

I do hope that someone could help him see his children if he never abused them. I have never been able to understand what parents get out of using their kids. I am a grandmother (53 years of age) and when I was ten my parents separated my mother took the two youngest and left me and twin sisters and brother with my dad. There was alot of heartache. I am not a trusting person always suspicious but I believe in parents being able to see their children even under some kind of control. When you are not involved and you can go home and hug your kids; how can we just turn our backs. See some one until someone cares.

We live in a strange world where it is acceptable for the politicians, government, people with wealth, lawyers, judges, police and so many more can twist the laws for them. If we make a false statemnt we are held to a different law. Real crimes don't have real punishment but the smaller things seem to be treated alot more serious; where is the justice. I am disgusted how we let rapist go on a lesser charge then someone who catches fish. Martha Stewart can never be compared to what Premier Lord has done to us in this province. Just one example of our so called good people of our society.
