JUSTIN TRUDEAU WILL BE THE NEXT LEADER!!!

With all the old politicians telling the media that they're not interested in running for the Liberal leadership?

TrudeauSons

I'm predicting that Justin Trudeau will be the next Liberal Leader in Ottawa!!!

What do you think?

New blood would be good for Canadian Politics.

Who can forget the good presentation he gave during his Father's funeral?

I think that he would be great. Young with new ideas!

Give me a break! Their dad didn't even enjoy life as leader of the opposition(8 months or so).

So what makes you think they would want that role either. These guys are all about power and nothing more.

So get used to it Charles, the libs won't be in for a very, very longtime.

The liberals only really lost out in Quebec, go check the numbers. With new blood liberals fortunes of course reside with voters, not individual's opinions of their fortunes.

I don't think anybody knows anything about these guys though, are they even IN the liberal party?

One way for a quick turnaround is Ken Dryden. He's got name power, star power, is well known and liked, and is relatively unsullied by scandal. He's fairly moderate, and unlike Harper, doesn't scare the hell out of women voters.

However, what people vote on changes all the time, I don't know a single voter who voted liberal because they liked or respected Martin, so one could easily claim that their fortunes can do nothing but go up. However, their fate is decided in Quebec, and perhaps Ontario (though there wasn't a huge change in Ontario from last time). Their is no way of guessing what the outcome will be.

It is time we have all Parties join together and we select the best out of of those people to represent us and distribute our money for the taxpayers. We need to stop wasting money on elections and foolishness and buckle down and what they get paid for. We need a certain only to represent us we need a variety of ideas and honest hard workers. Not a Senate and Politicians and so many more that drain millions. We have enough politicians we could have them work an 8 hour day and rotate with the harding working representation. All parties have flaws and we need the best to come together for the Canadian Taxpayer.

Personally, I think we could use a little more communism nowadays. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. That goes for people AND provinces. Alberta is stinking rich, while New Brunswick barely gets by, even though NB trains and educates the workers who then have to go to Alberta to find work.

Whoever the poster is above, I like those ideas. Keep an eye out here for some interesting news on just that subject. Don't go away, we need people like you who think outside the party box.

You forgot the other half of the equation about training and sending our people out West.

Those same people work their butts off to build Alberta's booming economy.

When their work years are done they come back home and drain our health care system.

Don't forget that they can also pay into EI while working elsewhere for a good part of the year, and then come home to New Brunswick and collect EI. That means they are paying into the fund out west while deducting from out east. EI is distributed by regional offices, and each office only has a certain amount. The people at EI are pretty miserly nowadays so I don't know how many actually do it, but I'd be interested to know.

I watched 60 minutes where a 22 year old said he makes 122,000 working in Fort MacMurray, so no doubt those guys don't NEED EI-although those guys probably don't come home again either. Perhaps they do come home to retire, but that's not a definite, if you spend your working life elsewhere you tend to build up roots, and in many cases for the young there are simply none of the people they used to know living there, so why come back? (and at least they'd be bring some social security:)

What gets me the most is that these things aren't even MENTIONED out west. The east coast is just a sponge draining off money according to the chamber of commerce. Forgetting things like a far higher proportion of New Brunswickers have a post secondary education than Albertans or Ontarians. So guess what, maritimes are smarter, they just have no representation in Ottawa.

Is anyone here aware that Sussex is sitting on a gas field that is supposed to be as large if not larger than offshore Sable Island?

Do you also realize that Corridor Resources is chomping at the bit to get a gas line out to the Maritimes & Northe East pipeline to ship it to the States by 2007!

If you doubt me just go to the Corridor Resources web site and check out the McCully drilling program!

Do you suppose that we will see any of the benefits like Alberta receives from their resources? Don't hold your breath! That might entail real leadership and we all know that we don't have any of that here in New Brunswick.

Maybe we can just deposit the royalties in Irving's bank account and they can give it back to us in in food stamps which can only be spent at the Blue Canoe!
