NB POWER SPARES BIG INDUSTRIES BUT NOT THE POOR IN NEW BRUNSWICK!!!! WILL IT COME DOWN TO THIS???

liberty, originally uploaded by Oldmaison.

Can you just imagine if this was 100 or 200 years ago? The power rate will go up but only to the poor in New Brunswick.

So therefore the rent will be higher but the Welfare rate will not rise.

What the heck is going to happen? How are the thousands of poor people going to survive???

You tell me???

What do you mean by this? Is Lord offering less increased rates for industry?

SO we should give people who don't work more money like you so you can have your little hobby while the rest of the province works for a living? Charles I just don't get what you always go on about, stop blaming the government on everything blame people for not wanting a better life. You can't always count on the government but you still think that they are the only resort for people. Well stop blaming the government blame YOURSELF.

No, don't blame the government, blame NEW BRUNSWICKERS. They are the ones who let their government get away with anything. In Columbia and Bolivia the people take to the streets and throw crooked corporations out on their ear. In New Brunswick they say "thank you sir, take some more". And there are even malcontents who jump on anybody who dares to speak out. Those are the brown shirts, Charles, but you don't have to worry, they haven't got the guts to talk to you face to face.

The bottom line is that Charles blames the government for everything that goes wrong. "our welfare cheque is too low, we don't work so you must pay to keeep us going". This is what puts NBers back people who won't take responsibility for any of there actions and blame it squarly on the government. Why can't anybody take responsibility these days?

By speaking up and doing something like you say is what people are trying to do. We pay our taxes but not everyone pays their share and we the average are asked to pay more. Enough, we have endured this hardship too long. No one wants violence but some day some one will have exhausted all options and will have nothing to lose because everything has been taken away. We should stand up now and come out by the thousands and demand our rights and rights of all people not just millionaires and billionaires. Get your head out of the sand and put it in action and help to get this done.

That's NOT the bottom line you pinhead. If you bothered reading instead of holding onto your precious prejudices, then you'd know that Charles has had TWO jobs taken away from him because of the government.

He would be working RIGHT NOW but the government banned him from working in the legislature (although he's allowed there as a citizen).

The VAST majority of people who are on welfare are on welfare because of a DISABILITY. The majority of disabilities have been workplace injuries, which means the companies just write them off after they've hurt them. There is NO enforcement of safety regulations at worksites, which means the government is complicit in hurting its own citizens.

And then IDIOTS like the above have the nerve to say 'it's because they won't find jobs', when they DENIED work, or HURT at work.

Ironically, if the subsidies builders and companies get were instead put into private insurance policies, the province would be FAR better off. Instead of the welfare they'd be getting a cheque from an Ontario insurance company. Which of course is why we don't see that. Far better to keep people in poverty.

It's bad enough that people live in poverty, we certainly don't need prejudiced pinheads posting on here with their idiot remarks.

To the last poster. First thig that comes to my mind is you used the word "GOVERNMENT" in your first paragraph making my statement truer and truer.

Charles doesn't have the job at the Legislature so find another one, the government doesn't have a conspiracy against Charles. Also your numbers on people from welfare are so off that you must get your information off this website to compare. Bottom line is people like Charles blame government on any occasion that they can when they do nothing to help the direct link that they are in with the situation.

Pinhead is the name you want to call me? Why not taxpayer? Or Freedom of speech activist? If you can't take the heat then get out the frying pan. Welfare is the worst system set up ever in the world. It was suppose to be for a hand up not a hand out and not taken advantage like it has by many people including Charles. If he could work at the legislature being a grunt worker why can't he work for the city in the summer or for a construction company any other time being a grunt worker?

So by saying that because they have a disability and they can't work so they go on welfare is a bunch of crap look at Dr.Doherty he is disabled had a physical disabilty and still was a doctor and they are many other people like this working, the government provides assistance to disabled people.

Your comments are bogus and your insults are petty, get the facts them come back.

Yes the "pinhead" comments are nothing but frustration from someone who doesn't try to understand that not everything is black and white or simple enough to group everyone in a category.

Keep up the good work and hopefully people can see the bigger picture. In justices happen everyday; but for some people it's who cares and they go on in their little bubble. Good work Charles!
