Smart Car 70 MPH and the drivers cage is intact

Well, the above answered the question, it's a smart car made by Mercedes (Daimler Chrysler). The real trouble is, I can't find the mileage listed anywhere.

The facts COULD be that you are better off with the new Toyota Yaris, a small car with similar features to Smart, and cheaper. Of course for city driving you won't beat the Prius, but it costs twice as much.

Trouble with Smart is it's been losing money since day one. I'm not even sure whether chrysler in Fredericton can service them, although no doubt in time they will.

On another blog we were debating the pros and cons of the New Brunswick trying to bring Smart Manufacturing to the province. It would be 'smart' to make an offer of tax credits or a tax holiday-even no tax at all, if they set up a manufacturing plant in NB.

The fact is this is a rare occasion that would be a perfect fit. Right now they need to be shipped from Europe, duties paid, then sent out across canada.

If they had operations in New Brunswick with a tax break it would make it feasible for them to set up here and provide hundreds of jobs. Then the province would make up the tax through income tax. Hell, NB corporate tax is so low they're practically free anyway.

The other point is that the Smart Cars have been selling faster than they can stock them. There 'could' even be a market in the States. So a partnership NOW, could benefit NB in the long run.

It's too bad Frank weren't still around, he'd be knocking on Mercedes Door right now (hell, Hatfield would be FUNDING them). Too bad NB is now the retard of the investment world (yes, I know, I used that word). Irving must be so happy.

Yes you get good mileage but the car is too expensive and if you need it for luggage or groceries to travel there is no room. Car payment is not that great of a deal. Compare it to most small cars you may keep for five years; you are no further ahead. Just my opinion but check it out.

True, there is very little room, but really, how much room to MOST people need? It's perfect as a second car, or a city car. Watch people going to work and you'll notice one thing-virtually everybody has only one or at most two people in the car.

One thing to note is that it's supposed to be hell to drive on the highway, the wind hits it like an old volkswagon (if you drove on of them you know what I mean).

However, as a new car it isn't much more than most compacts. You can't buy a Honda for anywhere near the price (new). In fact, I don't even think you can buy these in New Brunswick so it's a moot point at best.

Because its' only a three cylindar, the higher gas prices go, the better a deal it is.

For a city car just driven around town I would have looked at an electric car-but now it turns out hydro may cost as much as gas!!

It is too expensive; it is not worth the price. You will have to make payments a car that has no room.

Who the heck are you? What kind of craziness is that? The car is plenty big for one or two people. At 15 grand it is one of the the cheaper cars out there. Most cars are 20 grand and up for a new car, plus more for gas.

This car has not have a resale value and realisticly you may as well be riding a bike to work at that cost. Bottom line you have to pay as much as a small car and you'll still save; this car is too expensive and the interest on the loan is too high. Check it out because I did last summer!

The owner is as safe as a person in a sardine can; watch for transports!
