I haven't heard anything from My MLA as yet on this issue. Will keep trying toi get through, But my attitude is that they Lord government should have finalized that Legislation and made it law-policy long before now. that's the is the red-tape of it I guess.
I think that Mr. Lord has a very slim chance to get in one more time if, and only if he acts on his promises he made and does it now. if he does not, it is bye bye black bird. LOL!!
It looks like a very bad and sad situation for all roomers and boarders.I never knew these people didn't have any rights till a few months ago.The way they are being treated is very degrading, being abused and treated unfairly, their rents are too high for just a small room to live in and the slum landlords and their caretakers are getting away with it.It makes me sick,how disgusting.I wish I could be in charge for just one day,things would change for the roomers and boarders.I feel for these people and how sad,that nothing is being done for these people.
Amen to the above. You can go to the government website and see the other issues that were introduced the same week as the tenants rights, and they were all passed into law long before christmas. Wouldn't it be nice to be a politician and have the winter off?
