WILL THE BEAUBASSIN COMMITTEE TONIGHT ACT LIKE THE BRITISH IN 1755???? WILL THE IRVINGS BEGIN TO DESTROY MEMRAMCOOK IN THE MORNING???

Tonight is the night a few Acadians will decide if the Valley of Memramcook will be destroyed by the J.D. Irvings!

The Beaubassin committee will have the final say but from what I hear?

Trevor Holder could walked in and signed papers that will give the Irvings the ok.

Will Loyalist Trevor Holder act like the British in 1755 who deported the Acadians?
These Acadians who could give the ok to the Irvings will be known just like the British who deported the Acadians in 1755!!!!

If that is the case? I will call him a Bigot Loyalist for the rest of his life!!!

Time will tell and the meeting is at

Edifice Municipal
Cap-Pele
at 7:00pm

I wish that I could make it there but it won’t happen. The public will have a final say before the members reach a verdict!

I might add that there’s nothing in the Moncton Irving Transcript about this meeting!

The Irvings are hiding this meeting from the public!!!!

I would have love to tell the audience that Gulf Operator is a very racist Company and they’re main goal is to harm the Acadian Population in Memramcook but I can’t make it there.

Anyone wishes to attend? Send me an email at oldmaison@yahoo.com.

Memramcook residents fight Irving quarry
About 150 people turned up at a meeting of the Beaubassin Planning Commission Wednesday night to fight a quarry that J.D. Irving has proposed for the Memramcook Valley.

Two quarries are already operating in the Memramcook Valley. Catherine Cormier used to live next door to one of them. She walked four to five kilometres a day in her community. She died of cancer in her sinuses when she was only 50.

Her sister, Juanita Cormier believes the quarry dust contributed to her health problems. "She was inhaling all the dust and everything that's coming out from those quarries. She was walking for health reasons and to be in shape and be healthy and in the long run, that's probably what killed her."

A subsidiary of J.D. Irving hopes to bring another quarry to the area but more than 1,000 people have signed a petition against it.

Company spokesperson Geoff Britt told the planning commission that his company's quarry would be different. "A lot of the issues that we've heard are really based on the reality of these existing quarries in this community. And we have said, the way we operate our quarries has nothing to do with the reality of what the people here have experienced. We can raise the bar."

The Beaubassin Planning Commission was supposed make a recommendation on the project. The province would then make the final decision.

The commission decided it needs more time to review all the information. It will discuss the options over the next few weeks, and then hold another public meeting.

You should link everyone to the site that is fighting for the Acadian Forest.

There is a commercial on TV with a women asking NBers to join the
fight against the clear cutting of our forest.

I would like to join but I am not sure where and how.

I only caught that commercial at the last minute and even though I was hearing it I was in the kitchen and it didn't register.

You should post it so people can join.

Once I get the info, I will pass it around to all that I know.

If we do not stop the Irvings
or at least make some noise, the poor animals will have absolutely no place to live because as we can see the Irvings have no conscience.

I wish the Irvings would move and stay in Bermuda where they belong.

Yes if they want to put their wealth in Bermuda and not pay their taxes then we would be better off. They made their wealth with our resources and continue to use our water, forests and power at our expense not theirs.

Yes the Irvings do alot for NB with OUR MONEY not theirs. Tax Concessions for 25 years is just one example of the millions they save at expense.
