I was wondering why Chisholm was walking on King's Street with some roses in hand?
Maybe it was for Bernard Lord?
On a Personal note. I'm sad to see the guy go. He's a nice guy!!!

Lord's staffer quits following letter debacle Last updated Apr 27 2006 04:02 PM ADT CBC News Premier Bernard Lord's press secretary has resigned in the latest twist in what has become the most bizarre and dramatic legislative session in recent memory.
Lord announced Chisholm Pothier's resignation during a heated exchange in Thursday's question period, when Liberal house leader Kelly Lamrock wanted to know why the government had released a letter containing personal information about a constituent in Neguac.
The letter contained the constituent's name, civic address and drunk driving history.
Lord said Pothier was acting alone when he handed copies of the letter to the legislative press gallery and accepts personal blame for the decision.
"Unfortunately, I am losing a very competent press secretary who made a mistake and owned up to his mistake," said Lord.
But Lamrock shot back that the premier is responsible for the release of the information and shouldn't make his staffer take the fall.
"The premier's conduct requires a mea culpa," Lamrock said. "Not a they-a culpa."
The individual's personal information was contained in a January 2005 letter Lord referred to in the legislature on Wednesday.
The letter was addressed to Transportation Minister Paul Robichaud and written by Liberal MLA Carmel Robichaud, on behalf of a constituent who had been convicted of drunk driving, but wanted a permit to drive to and from work.
Lord referred to the letter after the Liberal opposition accused him of interfering in a Shediac development project.
Lord offered to table the letter in the house, suggesting Liberal MLAs were using their influence to help drunk drivers get back behind the wheel.
Outside chambers, Pothier handed copies of the letter to reporters without blacking the individual's name out. He later apologized, saying he regretted that decision and was personally responsible for making the letter public.
This spring's rocky session has been marked by floor-crossings, strange outbursts from MLAs and wild accusations from both sides of the legislature.
The government is hanging onto its majority by just one seat and the Liberal opposition is hungry for an election.
Wrong person resigned. It should be Lord who should resign who stated yesterday in the legislature to table the letter. Pothier made letter available only after Premier's statement in the legislature. Paul Robichaud Minister of Transportation should resign too who widely distributed the letter for political gain. Lord and his government have lost its moral authority to govern.
Pothier was probably one of the most likable press secretaries the province has. Even those who had no use for this government liked Pothier (Charles will attest to that). Was Lord aware the letter was going to the media at that point? Hard to say but some superior like perhaps the Chief of Staff did. Pothier simply doesn't have the authority without running it through somebody. Somebody gave Pothier the letter. Doubtful it was Lord himself but I suspect someone high up in the premier's office. Honourable thing that Pothier did but I don't think the penalty fits the crime in this case. Hopefully he turns up somewhere else soon. He was one of the good ones. A shame.
I really don't think Carmel Robichaud needs to resign. This asking people to resign every day is getting stupid and old and rarely is it required. Pothier's case is really strange because he shouldn't have had to resign but did anyway. However, Carmel's request was bizarre, and given the seriousness of drunk driving, I'm baffled that an MLA would even make such a request. I think we have only a handful of sensible MLA's from either party right now. This legislature is getting down right nutty and they're pretty much all to blame.
It has been standard practice of Lord government, including Lord himself, to harass public by using personal information on private citizens. Now this is the third high profile individual who has resigned because of that. Pothier is indeed a nice person and wrong person to resign. A wrong person was selected by Lord to be fall guy. It is unfair to Pothier. Paul Robichaud and Bernard Lord should resign. It is dangerous precedent to use private and personal information for political gains or just plain harass members of public. It is plain wrong. Lord should show some class and resign and let the electorate decide how they feel about this incompetent and immoral Premier.

Rebirth of Richard Nixon, enemy list.

Roses? Secretaries' Day, would be my guess.
