Okay, first of all, is that a cigarette in her hand? We're supposed to feel sorry for someone who would rather waste money on cigarettes than on decent housing? One pack of cigarettes a day certainly adds up.
Secondly, if she's so poor, why did she have $450 in her purse?
Lastly, if all she's doing is sitting in that chair all day, how could she even lose the purse in the first place?

Okay, First of all I am a smoker and I can tell you there are many ways of cutting the cost down on smoking as I have.
I only roll and I believe this lady does as well, I only smoke about 8 cigarettes a day to try and keep my craving under control thus allowing me to be able to smoke for a little less than 24 dollars a month.

Secondly, Yesterday was the First of day of the Month so she had just gotten her check and the 450 dollars would have been her entire check as that is the DISABILITY amount.

Lastly, Even though she is in her chair all day does not mean that she doesn't go for a tea or coffee to stretch her legs (Opps might have left her purse behind)or she might have gone to Tim Horton's down the street or to the bus stop or to King's Place mall to go to the washroom at which time once again (might have left her purse behind)

So to the closed minded person's comment above, Hopefully until charlie gives us a little more insight on the story at hand this will at the least give you some senarios to go over in your emty head.

Is this the same homeless woman you had in your blog a couple of days ago?
I'm confused.
Why is she homeless. Why can't she get a room like Charles has with that $450 ?
And what the heck is she doing smoking??

Okay let me get this straight. On on ehand the Fredericotn Police are being compared to communist China and in the next they're heroes?
Charles, you rarely confuse me but I don't know which side you're coming at on this one.
They still have my support as a whole. If and this is a big if..one officer did overstep his authority with Rashid, he should be dealt with and dealt with properly. However that doesn't mean tainting the entire force as barbarians. The Force as a whole does a good job given the resources they have.

Waste is waste. Whether it's $24 or $240/month, how is the public supposed to pity someone who is willingly wasting money while at the same time begging for more?

Why are people so judgemental when they are not in her shoes or know anything about her she could easily be you mother or sister.

Poor need money too. Most people are heartless when they look at other people. Who are you to judge her. Hope all works out for her whatever the problem.

Nobody wants the sympathy of creeps and bums. In case you didn't know, cigarettes are addictive. They are drugs and are as addictive as heroin-by design. Combine that with the misery those on welfare experience and you can understand how hard it would be to get off drugs.

But of course there are those who think the poor are just a drain on society and don't deserve anything, let alone pity. We shouldn't be surprised, but I vote for Charles to be more like Irvings and not print the creep's messages-they don't deserve to be heard.

For those confused, this blog and the other blog about the police are two different stories. You see, when there are two different stories they are blogged as two separate incidents. Comprende?

Sure two separates, but when you paint the entire Force as the equivalent of Chinese Police ?!?, that includes this guy. Now this guy has a far tougher time talking to some people thanks to this vitriol that is being thrown about regarding the Fredericton Police.

I'm so happy that this lady got her purse back. If she smokes that's her right to do so. With all the stress she is having these days I don't blame her. She needs something to calm her nerves. I hope to hear she gets housing soon.
