Eveb the ADHD preacher is the latest victim of the Frdericton Police Force.
I must admit that they never gave me a hard time but this could all change after I blog the stories I've been hearing on the street!!

I BELIEVE THE FREDERICTON POLICE NEED A GOOD CRASH COURSE ON DEMOCRACY AND THE CONSTITUTION...WE HAVE THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND FREEDOM OF THE PRESS, AND THE RIGHT TO PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS...WHERE IS THE MAYOR WHEN ALL THIS IS GOING ON, DOES HE SOON FORGET WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM WHEN HE FAILED TO RECOGNIZE THE GAY AND LESBIAN CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, HE HAD TO APOLOGIZE AND THEN LOST HIS NEXT ELECTION!!!
I guess it comes down to a matter of opinion. Nobody said that they are against the Fredericton Police operation but they certainly could find someone selling crack/dilaudids to bust and it would make them look alot better then this. Its a great thing that Charles has a camera in tow and what he will come across daily remains to be seen!MCD
Amen, although we will always have a minority of racist, bigoted, fascists, these people aren't hurting anybody. The ironic thing is that tourists don't go around just to look at scenery. Come on, Fredericton is not that different than any New England city, and there are twice as many beautiful spots in Vermont. Basically they want to turn canadians into machines they just walk to get coffee, go to work, keep your mouth shut, don't make noise.
That makes towns boring as hell. Go to Ireland sometime and the place is just incredible, there is energy everywhere and hardly a week goes by without a protest of some sort. There is all kinds of craziness in the streets because, hey, we're human.
All these things could make memorable vacations, instead, what will people remember? "Oh yes, here's the picture of the police arresting a guy who was telling people about Jesus" "Oh, and this one is of an officer throwing an old beggar woman out of the market". "Here's a charming one of police arresting a half dozen of youngsters for saying that immigrants should be treated better".
"Oh yes, and here's a printout of a New Brunswick idiot who was in favour of all of them" What a great trip!
Charles, thanks for posting this. I don't exactly know what to expect next time out, they say the police will be tightening security at the market.
