I just found out last year that my good friend turn to dilaudid because of legs pain.

I arrived in Saint John and the next day my hunt for 555 began.
She has been a prostitute for the last 3 years. She has been selling her body for her fixed.
Her habit cost over $100.00 per day.
I confronted Dr.Ed Doherty in the Capital about this poor girl but he couldn’t locate her.
I told the MLA for Saint John Harbour that I would be in his office on Monday morning with 555!!!
I went into the area where the prostitutes wait for their john.
I saw this girl walking on the streets and shouted at her. She had a nice body but by the look of her face? You could tell that she has been on Dilaudid for years.
She hasn’t seen 555 for 3 weeks.
She asked me if I wanted any sexual favors? I told her that I wasn’t interested all I just wanted was to chat with 555!
I sat in front of the church while hoping that 555 would walked by.
I noticed that two police officers drove by. One was on a bicycle.
If they would have stop and asked - What are you doing here?
I would have answered - I’m looking for a prostitute!
Well? I believe that would have done it!
Charles would have once again landed in jail.
Once in the Saint John Police Force headquarters? They would have said - You again???..lol...
I noticed the prostitute I just chatted with jumped into a vehicle and took off with her john.
I noticed another prostitute walking by me but never said a word.
I am told there's over 30 women on the streets selling their bodies for Dilaudid. The waiting list is way too long. The last time that I check? There's 150 in the Capital and close to 200 in Saint John.
I walked pass a Memorial of the young girl who died while taking Dilaudid.
A few people came and chat with me and I asked if they seen 555?
They haven’t seen 555 for weeks.
One person told me that he might know where she’s located? I walked all the way to that area of the City but I had no luck.
I return in the rain to the area and began to tell people if they saw 555?
They should tell her to walked into Dr.Ed Doherty office and he would help her to be on Methadone.
I decided to once again try to locate her in the many rooms in the Southern part of Saint John.
After hours of hunting down 555 in the rain?
I finally located my friend.

Charles, I hope your friend 555 will get the help she needs. I feel so bad for theses girls. There must be a better way.
Charles, like Beth, I do hope that your friend can get the help she needs, but at the same time the meth clinic is only substituting one highly addictive drug with another highly addictive drug. It is not really helping these people. As far as selling sex in up town Saint John it is just more obvious there. As sad as this is to say I know 555 and a few of the other girls working because of my employment and alot of these girls do not want the help, they have given up on a world that has forgotten them. The money is too easy and the risks are not thought of most of our ladies of the night have A.I.D.S , Hep C or both. It is a sad world. Someone told me one time that they have no pity for them it is the life they chose, For some this may be true but look at the 14 year old that was just found out working the streets she is still yet a child not able to choose a path to follw in life. She needs help over and above all else.
