I agree with 6:24 p.m. all of us taxpayers paid for this ice cream, assuming in fact that it was Charles'.
I'm sure Molly's store would have given Charles a free ice cream though , knowing that he was going to put that picture on his blog site.
But then again maybe Charles paid for it. The Welfare cheques were good last Friday, weren't they?

I was refering to the time and energy you spent on this blog. I don't have a problem with someone on assistance having an ice cream, but I do have a problem with someone who is taking my tax dollars spending their days pestering others and thinking about blog stories and pictures without ever any evidence of working on your resume or taking any job training.

The fact is Charles, if you can put the time and energy into this blog, you could put it into some kind of meaningful labour. I resent the fact that I work hard, pay my taxes, and people like you spend all day without being productive in our economy. You are a drain. Obviously, you're no genius, but I'm sure you could hold down a job at somewhere like Subway or something--even if it was just part time.

I thought it was nice of Charles to let us know where we can go to have a nice ice-cream cone on a hot day. If posting this in his blog got him a free ice-cream, good for him. Looks good Charles, I hope you enjoyed that ice-cream. You won't hear me complain about what you are doing, I really enjoy what you write and all the photo's. Have a great day and keep up the good work.

I agree with Mr. Reasonable Advice, I could not have said it better myself.
It's immaterial what people on Social Assistance buy really.
I consider I am a financial contributor to this Blog site.
Everyone knows that Charles is on welfare so therefore it is our tax dollars that are permitting him to squander his time in this fashion when he could be out flipping burgers and getting off welfare.
He says he's got ADHD, well Whoop De Do.
There's a bunch of people working at Key Industries here in Saint John that are mentally challenged, but they still put in 8 hours a day.
I don't think Charles wants to get a job or he would.
As far as the ice cream goes, "go for it", but you should be thanking us taxpayers once in a while for carrying you.
Don't bite the hand that feeds you, people.

I admit too I am resentful of someone that can lay in bed in the morning and not have to get up other to go out and blog a few stories.
I have a boss over me. I make slightly more than minimum wage.
When you subtract my costs of transportation to and from work, lunches, clothing, etc. you are left with far below minimum wage.
Not to single Charles out, but anyone on welfare can live carefree and dosen't have the stress of a real job.
Any a lot of them wouldn't trade that life for anything even if they were offered a job.

There's no shame in being poor or being on welfare. I'm on welfare, I suppose that makes me a bad person also. "RIGHT". Well I happen to be a very good person that cares about others and if you knew me you would like me, maybe even love me. I worked all my life and unfortunately I have to depend on social assistance to live. I'm not proud of it, but sometimes we have to do what we have to do to make it in this sometimes very cruel world. I don't feel I owe anyone out there the reasons why I have to have this kind of help, so I won't get into my private life. I don't beg on the streets, but I've thought about it. I keep myself clean and have a nice little apartment. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs of any kind. I know you might think I don't deserve an ice-cream, but it's nice to have a little treat once in awhile. I know that there are some people that do take advantage of the system but even those people need help one way or the other. Try to be kind to others it doesn't hurt, and a smile doesn't cost anything.
