Think about it? That dirty air going into your body at a very fast rate? I wonder if exercising in Saint John could do more harm than good.
One certain fact is that I don't use my inhaler as much since I've been in frederictron. I hardly used it at all!

People who smoke do not have a right to complain about air quality.
In fact fat people have no right to complain either, or people who drive too fast, or people who take unnecessary risks in life. People who watch TV and play video games also should have no rights.
You are so right Smokey, you are soooooooo right.
The above have a point Charles. The gunk in those cigarettes you smoke are likely far worse than the air in Saint John.
Fat people who eat alot of potatoes and Kraft Dinner need inhalers....try some celery and lettuce
You wouldn't bet too much on that right?
You have the nerve to complain about the air when you are polluting the air for anyone around you? You're a hypocrite.
Yeh, because being addicted to a government sanctioned drug that was intentionally made to be addictive is exactly the same as churning out toxic gas from an industrial mill that could easily be located anywhere is the same thing.
Maybe we should start limiting the right to free speech of stupid people.
While you try to complain about small things; you should try to get big business to clean up and pay us a dividend to help us have some quality of life. Smoking may not be good but it is minor in the big picture of things. I personally do not or have I ever smoked. I am not over weight but I could loose a few inches so my clothes could fit better. But please when I am hungry I eat. Some people who are over weight are hungry too. Don't put down people who have a lot to offer in our society without you trying to take them down. Life can be very hard for some people. If life is good then you assume all is so easy for everyone else.
True our air is bad but smoking is not the biggest cause. All big business would love us to focus on other things so they won't be attacted. Stop judging what you think is going on! I had breast cancer and thyroid and I was told we live in a high degree or level of exposure of chemicals. It is in our air, soil, water and that means our food and many more items we come in contact with. Big business ought to stand up and admit to their hand in it. That won't happen unless someone shows us the details of chemicals that them emit each day in our air, water and soil. Lung cancer doesnot all come from smoke; chemicals are number one!
Smoking is still the #1 cause of lung cancer. True, you can be a non-smoker and get lung cancer but the risk is FAR lower. Saint John has a lot of crud in the air but the city also has a high ratio of smokers. To deny that as a major cause is to live in denial.
There is no real proof smoking causes lung cancer.period
...and seatbelts don't save lives, and alcohol is good for your liver and eating 10 pounds of French fries a day won't make you fat....and so on.
4:09, too funny my friend. I suspect there's more than a few smokers or former smokers in pallative care in the hospital who are struggling just to breathe that would disagree with you.
You are a follower,not a researcher.

Yes, it is true, smoking does not cause lung cancer. It is only one of many risk factors for lung cancer. I initially was going to write an article on how the professional literature and publications misuse the language by saying "smoking causes lung cancer"1,2, but the more that I looked into how biased the literature, professional organizations, and the media are, I modified this article to one on trying to put the relationship between smoking and cancer into perspective. (No, I did not get paid off by the tobacco companies, or anything else like that.)
When the tobacco executives testified to Congress that they did not believe that smoking caused cancer, their answers were probably truthful and I agree with that statement. Now, if they were asked if smoking increases the risk of getting lung cancer, then their answer based upon current evidence should have be "yes." But even so, the risk of a smoker getting lung cancer is much less than anyone would suspect. Based upon what the media and anti-tobacco organizations say, one would think that if you smoke, you get lung cancer (a 100% correlation) or at least expect a 50+% occurrence before someone uses the word "cause."
Would you believe that the real number is < 10% (see Appendix A)? Yes, a US white male (USWM) cigarette smoker has an 8% lifetime chance of dying from lung cancer but the USWM nonsmoker also has a 1% chance of dying from lung cancer
Sheesh, you working for big tobacco now.
Anyway even if we go with your figures, a smoker has an 800% better chancer of getting lung cancer than a non-smoker.
Then of course there's emphyzema, throat cancer, and so on and so on. Choose to ignore the facts if you wish but smoking, health-wise is a bad idea.
Sorry but even stating the comment that smoking is the #1 cause is wrong. For so long they have focused on the tobbaco but that is not the only cause but it also pulls us away from the real problem the big businesses who emit the chemicals in the air. My wish would be for people to quit because it is not good for their health. Cancer will not go away because they make money on people being sick and billions are made on the drugs they give to the people. More money is made on sick people then healthy people.
Cancer society also has done very little except blame us for the cancer and promote the drugs.
Something is very wrong and someone out there should step up and tell the truth.
The food we eat, the air we breath, the water we drink and the soil we use to grow fruit and vegetables have so many chemicals.
Sorry but most of us don't understand and changes have to come from the parties who have been the cause all along.
It has always been easy to blame the average people and convince them that they are at fault for all these cancers. Far from true.

Here are some "facts" about lung cancer. Smoking is the #1 cause of lung cancer. Don't smoke. It's bad for your health.

Yes you will see them state that and do you believe that it totally true the facts they quote. Years ago they denied so many facts so lets just question things and not assume they are always honest.
It would be so easy to blame it on tobacco and forget everything else.
Sorry even the Cancer society should be under attack they haven't done all they can with our money. They have admitted and they say they will do better. Let's wait and see. In the mean time we can't wait for them to tell all the facts.
Money is always something that corrupts the best of intentions!
Can't remember which blog site I read about the chemicals in toilet tissue. Just go to google and enter; Chemicals in toilet tissue causes cancer and you will fine several sites.
