Wow. Welcome to New Brunswick! Yes, not only does one family own all the presses, but people taking pictures are arrested! You can try to break down the door, and your charges will be dropped, but not if you take pictures. So much for human rights.
I was also arrested for taking pictures (from outside of the protest zone) in Fredericton. The pictures that I took proved that a protester was unlawfully and forcefully arrested, though he remained peaceful.
They arrested all 3 people (and only these 3 ppl) for taking pictures - and my camera was wrecked when I got it back.
Seems to be a traditional tactic by police in this (and other) regions.
The lawyer doesn't have anything to do with it, the trial was to set a court date. If I'm not mistaken one protestor pleaded guilty and was given an absolute discharge. There's no doubt the police state has a lot of fans, there are lots of people who don't like the fact that people get out of line.

He was arrested because he is a kook. Do not forget that.
It is apparent kook has kook friends. No surprise there.
Yeah tell me who your lawyer is so I can cross him off my list of attorneys if I never need one.
