Exactly. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to cross at a marked crosswalk.
The only thing that's different about that crosswalk than most others is that it has the patterned pavement which actually makes the crosswalk MORE VISIBLE to drivers and therefore makes it SAFER.

As someone who crosses here 4 times daily, I have not seen anyne have any trouble here that is any differnt than any other cross walk.
