i hope they will vote, and I hope they will vote well. Although I do think you need a permanent address to vote... this could be considered another attack on the homeless if this is true! We're gonna have to get on this Charles!

Just a couple of comments here, First of all, I think that it is high time that the Poor and Low-income residents of this province get up off of their butts and vote, Not for the Liberals though, because they are just as corrupt as the Federal liberals and our Values of decency would be gone and with that our social safety nets.

I believe that the Conservatives should be in power, but they need to be told in no uncertain terms that they need to seriously recondider how that the low-income and the Poor of this province have been treated by the system, and make sure that the conditions of the Poor and low-income are improved to a decent standard of living if they want to be re-elected. The Poor need to get out of the shelters and the rooming houses and whatever other legal address they are living at and dress in their best clothes and attend the forums and speak out for themselves instead of blaming the system for their peoblems. they need to register, vote and help to change.

Any vote will keep the poor poor. A vote for the NDP is a vote for poverty, a vote for the perpetuation of a party system that intends to capture its place of privilege in the country.

Now-a-days the NDP are just as crooked as the liberals (and the conservatives, of course); or perhaps its just more exposed now.

Nobody can ever represent the interests of the poor unless they, themselves, are poor.

But who am I to speak for the poor--I'm a student who can afford to eat twice a day. The NDP can afford to feed the entire population of homeless in fredericton if they'd just stop using it to gain power.

McKay, do you live on planet earth or on some Bush Con planet. When were CONservatives honest? Bernie lies through his teeth. Look at Orimulsion fiasco. Many folds bigger than Sponsorship which was bad enough. $2.2 million down the drain.

Mr. McKay is sympathetic to the poor, and wishes them well, but he can't see past his fixation on sexuality. When he talks about "our values of decency", he means shoving gays and lesbians back on the closet, and going back to the good old days of coat-hanger abortions.

Mr. Mackay represents the increasing Americanization of 'Canadian' culture.

Mr. McKay merely represents a different point of view (something the far left despite all their claims of tolerance don't seem to like).

Why not simply debate him instead of hurling personal insults at him? He might learn something from another point of view and so might you.

Thats good, better than having no culture.

Spinks, where is the insult?

And do you imagine there's any way to debate Mr. McKay? He drops in here semi-regularly to assert his views on gays or abortion or poverty, and use strong language that his views are God's views and any disagreement is not only stupid and uninformed but also indecent and immoral. How does one debate with that?

Could be wrost?? You could debate with moi????....lol

I will admit that Mike do could across pretty strong.

You should see me and Mike going at it face to face.

He's so easy to get going.

He's a nice guy but a little too straight forward.

Did you know he has a blog???

I ahve stated many times, and I will do so again, I don not have anything against anyone who lives the gay or, Homosexual lifestyle. However, as a person of Conservative conviction, I am just saying that I don't the traditional moral and family values to be changed sinply for he so-called sake of tolerance. I am convinced that it is the traditional moral and family values that have made this Nation a great Country among the Nations of the World. I believe that these values that our founding Fathers left us. If we as a Nation over-turn or destroy the traditional family values that were past down to us from our founders we are not honoring their memory.

when you say "I don't have anything against..." and then say "but" or "however", you automatically have discredited your previous statement.

Michael G. McKay said...

That is a nice way to play on words, Kira, but that dosen't cut any ice here, the fact of the matter you can have absolutely noghting against an individual person, and still be completely in opposition to what they stand for.

for lack of a better phrase, it is not personal.
