Um, no. No one can make a private radio station put on a show he likes. Government doing so would be the opposite of free speech, Charles.

Only way Abel LeBlanc can bring back Talk of the Town for its 10 regualr callers would be to buy his own radio station.

8:10 A.M. You crack me up big time. You are a breath of fresh air, I got to come in here and read your comments everyday, you get me laughing every single day !
Please don't ever go away!
yeah ! the 10 regular callers to Talk of the Town.
Trouble is, many of them are on Welfare or Disability?
My personal favorite callers?
Sean O'Shaunessey, Charles LeBlanc, Jim Webb (old age pension), Susan from Sussex,
some Bob guy, Bruce Court (I think he works).
At least they blocked the blind guy from St. Martins with the slow drawley voice. I saw him up town last year and he said they wouldn't put him on anymore.
C'est ca.

Any other people or Minority Groups you'd like to run down, or take a cheap shot at, if so Go For It :

CFBC has been taken over by the big corporation and they call the shots now.
Some of us work shift work and some are mothers who stay home and work part time. Lots of seniors who are retired but to say more are on welfare; I don't think so. Few have time for such a show.

I have listened for almost 35 years and I still work.

so there were only about 10 regular callers to TOTT everyday? gee, i didn't know that.
Charles, maybe they would offer you the job as host of TOTT. WOuld you accept it?

Yes, it is too bad that TOTT is history; I guess that CFBC doesn't give a darn about how people thought that they were the defenders of the free word? Where else can Saint John (and area) persons share their opinion in such a grand manner? Granted, not all the opinions were worthy however, free speech has been stifled a little bit more in a city where the Irving empire rules the news. Well, people, there are 10 other radio stations in the SJ area; I suggest you tune in to them (even though some have same owners as CFBC) but at least this way, we can lower the ratings and hit them where it hurts!
Now, don't go complacent and say "I'm only one person."
Good luck to us all!
