Charles, Why do you keep taking pictures of this gentleman. I know he is homeless but it's like he is the poster person for the Fredericton Homeless population. No doubt it is cold out there and the shelter doesn't have a lot of room, however, I also know there are choices to be made and some homless people will choose to drink and not be permitted into the shelter, even when it is freezing cold.
At least there is a place to go if someone so chooses - but the ultimate decision is upon the individual.
Don't get me wrong, I also understand alcoholism and mental illness contribute to making decisions that may not always have the best outcome and this is why we need to support the outreach worker in our community. We DO have a homeless population and despite our judgemental ways, they are human beings and deserve to be treated with dignity.
