This morning in the TJ, there is a write up by a doctor of the benifit of Methadone. He is saying exactly what you have been saying for years now. Who cares at this point who gets the credit as long as the addict is getting the help and people are at least getting a little more educated about the subject.
I have a very close relative who can not check himself into the methadone clinic to try and combat his drug addiction becuase he will lose his monthly perscriptions for Delotta (mis-spelled). He cannot afford to not have the Delotta to sell to pay his rent and support his habit. So maybe this problem also stems from poverty issue. Many people that I know do not even have a drug addiction. They get their monthly perscriptions so that they can sell them for a huge profit to put groceries on the table. So does it start with the drug addiction or with poverty? Which one comes first? The chicken or the egg....
