I believe it was a good idea so I could escape the bureaucrats in the Capital. So, there I was in the North Side walking in the deep branches looking for a few signatures for my petition.

It was a success!!!

I quickly found out that the Natives will quickly sign my papers.

It went so good that I decided to hang around the Parking Lot at the St.Mary’s Mall.

I collected more than 50 signatures and it was going will well until I was approached by a security guy asking me a question?

Once I began talking someone shouted on the other end of the radio- That’s Charlie!!! Escort him off the property immediately!!!

I said- Who’s at the other end of the radio?

He sounded like Dan Bussieres but I don’t believe that he followed me on the Indian Reservation.

I told the nice guy - What does he mean by escort me off the property?

What does this mean? It wasn’t the poor guy’s fault but he did walk me off to the sidewalk.

It didn’t make any sense because he could have just told me to stop collecting signatures.

The Natives were signing quickly especially when I mentioned the Irvings!

I understand that any Malls in the City would have done the same action. The people go there to shop and not to be confronted to sign a petition. The young guy was just following orders.

I went up the hill on the reservation and I collected a few more names.

One guy stops me and we headed for Stanley and I got a few more in that God’s Country.

This was my first time in Stanley and many have heard of this blogger.

So? The petition drive is going good but I’m sick and tired and repeating the darn story over and over.

But it gets very interesting when I mentioned the Irvings among our youths.

I guess the Irving’s commercial about the kids is not working.

Many are upset of the Irving Monopoly of Newspapers in this Province and Blogging is the only way to go!!!

I have more than 600 names on my petition and will collect 1,000 names by this weekend.

I’m tired but I will continue asking people for signatures.

The petition will be presented to the New Brunswick Legislature next week!!!

Stay tuned!!!!

Oh you can add the St Mary's Market to your places to protest because they don't want you there.

Are you getting the hint yet? You bother people, you are a pest and people/organizations don't want to deal with you or have you on their property.

Just for the record? I got nothing against the St.Mary's Mall!!

I just found it funny the way it happen.

Now? If being a pest is someone who fights for what they believe in?

Yes, I am a big Pest!!!

:P

You're lucky. Some people would like to escort you out of Fredericton. "Vive la liberté"

I am confused.

I thought your petition was about your ban from the Leg, and about how the Leg should lift the ban.

What do the Irvings have to do with you being banned from the Leg?

It has to do with it because Charles is the only blogger who used to actively cover the legislature. Irvings have a monopoly on the print media and much of the french, as well as radio. That means all the independant sources for political coverage is necessary. It's hard for a blogger to cover the legislature if they can't get in there.

As for the comments about Charles, it takes only eight people to ban him from the legislature, it takes only one cop to arrest him, one crown prosecutor to prosecute him and it only takes one owner or manager of a mall to evict him. Meanwhile, he's got 600 signatures, so so far the score is 600-11. We'll even count the commentors at this blog and make it an even 50. So 600 to 50 I think says it all about being a pest. Clearly lots of people want charles being a pest, and I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that the further he went from Fredericton, the more people support him.

On that score, its been a long time since we've seen Charles posting pictures of citizens who don't want their pictures taken, so kudos to you Charles for becoming more professional all the time.

Just as anonymous 5:44 so eloquently proves, it has nothing to do with his being banned..unless of course your prone to conspiracy theories and other flights of the imagination. Some people can't see the forest for the trees....others like anonymous 5:44 can't see the forest and blame the Irvings instead.

Anonymous said...

Yes, that makes no sense. Who blamed the Irvings? All that was said was that they have a monopoly on print media. Thats a simple fact, not a conspiracy or anything else, even the government has said that.

Charles is using the fact that Irving has a monopoly to try to get support for him to get into the legislature so that he can provide a different point of view, which shows that he's far smarter than most people give him credit for. He's getting more politically smart all the time, it'll be interesting to see what the government does next because somebody who is smart and tenacious is very dangerous.

Honestly anonymous 10:28, its really hard to say for sure if your the same anonymous face as the 5:44 but if not you do seem to suffer the same lack of common sense and over active imagination.
Try to keep your thoughts together long enough to grasp just what is in question here. If you can think back that was "what does Irving have to do with Charles being banned"....now read that real slow and repeat it a couple of time if you have too. Its important to know the question before you try answering it...it keeps you from wondering. This talk of ruining the country is really a tad pretentious after all don't you think? And a bit off topic, but then...there is that forest and tree thing again I suppose...keep focused now...Take it slow.
So, lets just forget about that ruining the country thing ok? After all to suggest that you can tell that from a few lines in a blog, well that's just disturbing. I'll just chalk that up to that over active imagination of yours. Besides, it makes you sound kind of silly. You know if you go around accusing everyone that disagrees with you of ruining the country your going to lose all your friends.
As to your suggestion that I am afraid of something. Well lets put it this way. Coming from someone that can't even bring themselves to use a nick, that isn't saying much. If you haven't the balls for even that simple courtesy your in no position to suggest anyone is afraid. And don't give me that old line about "it doesn't matter" or your "not using your real name" or "it takes too long". That's just a cop out..(especially for someone that seems to have all the answers) You hide behind anonymity and have the nerve to say others are afraid? Get real.

It takes courage to use a nickname? That's still pretty anonymous, but we are in awe of your courage. It takes so much guts to sit around criticizing people.

Not just criticize anonymous, 4:51 but criticize with a nick that at least is consistent. Unlike your anonymous critiques. Maybe it would be better to ask what lack of self assurance, what fear of being even marginally accountable for your words would possess someone to hide behind anonymity? But then anonymous 4:51 you probably know the answer to that one don't you.
