He’s the guy walking with me in the picture.

I interviewed his friends after the verdict and it was very emotional.

Dennis was charge after tried to rob a store a few months back.

The interesting part of this story was if a person is homeless, they don’t have an address so therefore they don’t have access to a health Care Card.

Dennis was diagnosed with Bi-Polar but couldn’t get his medication.

Strange system indeed.

After he robbed the store, did he immediately use that money to buy prescription medication for bipolar disorder? If he did not, then what relevance is it that he has bipolar disorder?

The relevance is that if he suffers from bi polar disorder and the state knows it, then by not medicating him they are complicit in his actions. Bi polar is a mental disorder which can have all kinds of effects, so it isn't surprising that he robbed a store, luckily he only did that. THe relevance is how many others are walking around with mental disorders who can't get medication? Do you really want to wait til somebody starts shooting up downtown or breaks into your home to find out?

Thats right, never take the blame for your own actions when you can blame it on something or someone else. Suggesting his robbing a store was caused by a bi polar condition is all too convienent. In fact the vast majority of persons with severe mental illnesses are neither criminals and are rarely violent. So unless anonymous 6:35 is privy to this mans medical history I doubt he can say its the states fault any more than I can suggest he is nothing more than a petty thief.

At least he has a 5 year lease now.

I might add that in a very rare move. The judge ordered him to serve half of his sentence.
