You are probably right. Most of these people are more concerned with stopping Atlantica than they are with their own oil consumption (look at that stupid car behind her). Most of the activists probably do want to get their 10 minutes of fame, going to jail for the cause.
However, I can assure you that there are *some* that are interested in actually stopping Atlantica, and the type of thinking and actions that cause things like Atlantica to happen.
You won't hear about those activists on CBC or Global on the weekend of the 14th-15th. They'll be nameless and faceless.
I hope that the other activists have booked their hotel rooms in advance, I hope that burger king is ready for slightly longer line-ups; I hope that the real threat to Atlantica, the few who will be sleeping on the streets and in the cold, stay true.
She has the keys to the car right in her hand. They are obviously her keys as there are other ones on it and it's a personal key chain......not one from a rental place or anything. And I don't imagine that if she borrowed the car the person would just hand over all their keys.
So all legitimate people who protest against the policies of atlantica have to walk to Halifax to ensure they don't use gas because gas is being shipped to the US?
Of course potatoes go to the states and are part of atlantica so therefore eating potatoes is out. And air comes up from the states, so all legitimate protestors must not breathe air. I suppose they can't drink water or walk on the ground either.

If it is, maybe she is reducing oil consumption by shuttling a few activists down with her.
Maybe instead of ten minutes of fame, she instead desires 10 minutes of freedom of speech to oppose the atlantica conference.

but how do we know they're for that car? maybe it's for a hybrid car or a biodiesel car which is next to that car and is not in the picture.
