Mark D'arcy likes attention and is a chronic malcontent; a guy who has used city hall over the years as a soapbox - yet can't get elected himself. He has been against development, wanted speed bumps and humps all over the city (traffic calming). Darcy was also part of a small, but loud group, that wanted to save invisible fish at College Brook. He conviently forgets the UNB woodlot belongs to UNB...it is not public land. If they want to sell a small piece...what is the big deal? It is none of his concern. The lack of public outcry shows it is not a real community issue. While people have the right to demonstrate --- some should find a legitimate reason/cause.

Just because you don't like people protesting doesn't mean you pan them. There were lots of people at the demonstration, and how do you know there is no outcry? Where would they cry to? Thats typical loser talk, the people who stand up to make things better are said to want attention nothing more. There is nothing wrong with being against development, the lack of development is the only thing that makes Fredericton a nice place to live. Without that, might as well pack up and live in ontario. And go ask the natives about the UNB land, that was native land given for a specific purpose. I suppose this is the same person that posted before that doesn't seem to get it that universities are public institutions, not private schools. And even private schools can't do what they want wit h their land, its called zoning.
