Yes,

But the important question is - why are our leaders lying to us about the war on terror and the war on drugs?

This baseball investigation is a farce - a throwaway distraction to the treasonous crimes being committed by the Bush and Harpers of our world.

When will we pay our debts to the Natives, Afghanis and Haitians that we've destroyed in our gluttonous quest for riches and world domination?

The numorous ,now third world poverty countries.that the UN and the United States, has been trying to find a way to get them on their feet, are countries ,whose resources were raided by spain and france.Any country dealing with the United States, have benefited very well. This is all documented.

Why the U.S. and France Hate Haiti
by Ed Kinane

Let's begin with 1492. Since that year, when it was "discovered," no country in the Caribbean has suffered more pain per capita than Haiti.
In the 15th century, according to Columbus, Haiti was an island paradise. Now it is an ecological disaster. In the 18th century, Haiti was the richest colony in the New World. Now it is the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere.

In the early 1500s, Haiti's indigenous people, the Taino, were rendered extinct. Alien disease took its inevitable toll. But it was the Spanish obsession with gold and Columbus' brutal ways of extracting and extorting what little gold there was that sealed their fate.

Soon thousands of West Africans were imported every year to fill the labor vacuum. Africans, under the lash, were put to work raising indigo and then cane sugar. So savage was the slave regime, at first under the Spanish and then under the French, that a slave's life expectancy upon reaching Haiti was only several years. Slaves didn't live long enough to assimilate "Western civilization." To this day Haiti remains essentially an African country.

In the 1790's, the Afro-Haitians revolted. In 1804, led by the slave Toussaint L'Ouverture, the Africans succeeded in whupping Napolean's army and driving it off the island.

This was the world's first successful slave revolt. Ignored in our history books, it was an accomplishment as significant and as liberating as the French or U.S. revolutions.

Western civilization -- France and the other white colonial slave-holding powers -- has yet to forgive the Afro-Haitians. Like Sandinista Nicaragua and Castro's Cuba, liberating itself was Haiti's original sin. Two centuries later the forces of counter-liberation are still relentlessly applied against it.

For years, few nations would recognize Haiti's independence. The United States, despite the lofty sentiments of its founding documents, did not recognize Haiti until our own slave regime crumbled in the 1860s. France, despite the ideals of its 1789 revolution, would not recognize Haiti until it paid a crushing multi-million dollar indemnity

etc.And now who pays?
Where does graham expect to get his 100,000 french speakin immigrants for New Brunswick?
Not hard to figure out.

Now a promise made is a debt unpaid, and the trail has its own stern code.
In the days to come, though my lips were dumb, in my heart how I cursed that load.
In the long, long night, by the lone firelight, while the huskies, round in a ring,
Howled out their woes to the homeless snows—O God! how I loathed the thing

Great read.Sounds Fascist to me!

Why do our governments want to control us in these ways?
I believe there are two primary reasons; the first is that they are implementing and continuing to implement laws, policies and programs against the best interests of all Canadians for the benefit of Charter-designated minority group demands. Second, they hope that by placating Quebec and forcing the rest of Canada to give into Quebec’s increasingly obnoxious demands that would turn Canada into a French-speaking, French-oriented, French-dominated, French-everything country, they will obtain sufficient Quebecoise votes to stay in power.

Even if we change governments, to obtain sufficient seats to stay in power in Ottawa, every Party is willing to hurt English-speaking Canada by playing to the Quebec Francophone appeasement game. Adscam was a very visible corruption but virtually every policy, law, Act or program that is now destroying the freedoms of English-speaking Canada was placed in force to win Quebecoise seats in Parliament. This includes the outlandish and insulting anti-English laws that our governments allow to exist in Quebec.

Our sell-out governments do not have the guts or patience to persuade English-speaking Canadians to accept their corruptions because they know that most of us we would rather keep quiet and hope it all goes away and those that do try to rock their boat can be dealt with. They deal us by what a professor friend of mine calls a “velvet-gloved iron fist.” And while the Human Rights laws, Codes, Commissions and tribunals are the worst of their methods, there are many other methods we will touch on.

The political history of South Africa ensured that two languages, Afrikaans and English, were the official languages of the country for more than 40 years. Afrikaans was the political language, the language of the rulers, while English was the business and global language.

After 1994 and the democratic elections, 11 languages were made ``official,'' which meant that public notices, bank statements, newspapers and most especially education could be conducted in any of these languages.

In practice English, Zulu, Xhosa and Afrikaans remained the most used, with English far outstripping the others, and thus encroaching on tertiary educational institutions that historically were using only Afrikaans.

It may not be well known here, but the uprising that led to the dismantling of apartheid and the establishment of a democracy which is still very young, was about which language pupils would be educated in. Specifically, black students rioted in protest against being forced to learn their subjects in Afrikaans.

Jacques Parizeau was a very smart man,and Canada would not be heading down the tubes if they had followed him.

DON MACPHERSON, The Gazette

"By God, I'll boot the rear end of anyone who can't speak English," Parti Québécois leader Jacques Parizeau thundered in a 1992 interview with Time magazine. "In our day and times, a small people like us must speak English."
