Richard Tremblay's wife died last week.
He's in charge of security at the Centennial Building. I believe her name was Faye. My deepest sympathy goes to Richard.

A jury handed down guilty verdicts Saturday against four of five men charged in connection with a riot that included the burning of a house on Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick.
The defence had argued the men were defending themselves and their community in July when they fired gunshots, beat a man they accused of drug dealing and set his home ablaze.
The house was burned to the ground. The house was burned to the ground.

Jurors had asked several questions about the issue of self-defence.
Two of the defendants facing the most serious charge of arson were taken into custody to await sentencing, while the other three were released.
The nine women and three men on the jury made up their minds shortly after continuing a second day of deliberations in St. Andrews.
They delivered the verdicts to an emotionally charged courtroom, where wives and girlfriends of the accused wept openly upon hearing the news. At one point, the judge warned people to remain calm.

Firefighters had described in court how they arrived to a mob scene at the home of Ronald Ross and said some in the crowd stood in their way by forming a human chain around the burning building.
Prosecutors had told jurors that despite their opinions of the man whose home was destroyed on the night of July 21 and the early morning hours of July 22, islanders from the community of 2,600 had no right to bypass the criminal justice system.
Ross, who now lives in Digby, N.S., had testified that he wasn't running a crack cocaine house, as his attackers suggested.
He admitted to occasionally using the drug, but insisted he did not produce or sell the crack to others.

GRAND MANAN TRIAL - ONE GOOD REASON THAT BLOGGING IS SO IMPORTANT!!!!
This is one good point that blogging is very important in this Province.
Take a look at the situation of the court case in Grand Manan?
The whole country is waiting for the jury’s verdict.
Now, lets say the verdict comes down today?
There’s no way the public will know the decision until Monday.
Here in New Brunswick? The media are on vacation during the weekend. Of course, we will know the story on ATV News or the radio stations on Sunday morning.
CBC has promise it would post the verdict on their website at http://www.cbc.ca/nb/
So, if someone hears the verdict? Post the comment in this blog and the whole world will know the whole story in a matter of minutes.
The tension is driving me nuts. I sure can’t wait till Monday morning.
Blogging true stories might come to an end in Canada on Monday. New Brunswick could truly become an official Irving State!!!! Stay tuned...

NEW BRUNSWICK COULD BECOME A POLICE STATE AFTER MONDAY???
I received this email and don't worry? I'll be blogging Duane case in great lenght weeks before the trial.
I do wish there were more posts about Duane, as Charles says, this isn't just about him.
Of course its Charles blog so that is who the focus is on, but clearly this is not emotive stuff.
This is far far more than an obstruction and press from all over canada proves it.
This is hugely important and if we could get more posts here about Duane's court case in Fredericton then people would maybe really start to take notice.
I know of people who 'know of' Charles and dont know the whole story but just say they are not surprised. More coverage of the case in Fredericton would prove to people that this is not isolated, is not just about obstruction, and is very much about the power of a police state. If cops can pick out people and steal film and pictures, then that's third world dictator stuff.

These cops are clearly sending a message, the next time there is a public protest (probably next spring) then it should be organized so that dozens of New Brunswickers will be there with digital cameras.

Then nobody will be able to 'conjecture' about what happened and it would keep the police in line. Police are a necessity, but control of the police is an even greater one-just ask anybody in Latin America.

ALL THE MEDIA IN NEW BRUNSWICK AND BLOGGER ARE IN ST ANDREWS!!!!
All eyes are on St Andrews. I had a little chat with David Lutz.

He believe that his clients will get an acquittal.

I believe they will be told not to own a firearm for 10 years and get probation.
But what do I know anyway????

SAINT JOHN POLICE FORCE WILL BE INVESTIGATED BY A PUBLIC INQUIRY!!!!
The trial will maybe end on Monday but one thing is certain. There will be a public inquiry!!! Why don't they just handcuff me while I was standing up? There's no doubt in my mind that I was singled out!!!!
Plus? They deleted around 200 pictures from my camera!!!! I'll be blogging more about this during the weekend....
Stay tuned!!!!
