I hope we have a few more BY-elections in Saint John. Premier Lord was not here when we wanted to ask him to give us fair taxation on the LNG deal. This was done by Lord and Irving and Mayor and Council. Remember Mayor and Council did not have the authority to do so. Lord thank you so much for helping your corporate friends while the rest of us struggle to make ends meet. All the gifts given the last 3 weeks still won't change much when we have to pay our taxes. You must send in a bill for oil received, give your income tax for prior year and maybe after all that you could receive a hundred dollars and you will have to claim this on your return. We need a real tax relief that the Irvings received; who didnot need relief and received millions. We need true tax help not just talk and paper work and pretend to help the people.
Removing HST from heating bills will be the real help. Rest is balony and politics. Manifold more money is being wasted on the administeration of rebate program than the actual rebate which is miniscule. Millions on administration and few hundred in rebate.
