This is infuriating that he is making these trips after trips to Saint John using one excuse or another (or these announcements which all have to happen now) to campaign for his candidate. He does take taxpayers for suckers. This must stop.
Yes it is crystal clear, he is trying to buy a seat; something else is coming up. Who knows how much more he wants to take from the people, and give to the Billionaires. Michelle has always loved being wined and dined; it would be fine but it is the taxpayers who pay for all this. They flaunt it in our faces, make money drops and promise so much on our money.. Premier Lord sorry but you have done enough damage for years to come; Michelle did the same on council; she pay the part well; it was all part of her election plan since way before she ran for Council. Give Hooton the Booton. Lord is arogant enough we don't need the same from her, she has always thought she knows everything and is a step above the rest. All citizens deserve fair taxation, that won't happen with her.

The same goes for all of the MLA's and Ministers, they take time off, vacation time to do this.
Again, this is law, tax payers aren't paying him to be there, but don't take my word for it, call the campaign finance officer, they are there not by Lord, or Mackenna.
If your logic is that Tax payers are paying for Lord and the gov't to be in Saint John, then it must also hold true for Shawn Graham, and all the Liberal MLA's, their pay cheque comes from the gov't too..don't forget that.

When it's byelection time, it's good to be premier
CARL DAVIES CAPITAL NOTEBOOK ---- Our tax dollars are being used to fight this by-election. It is scandulous. Lord has gone too far this time.
Opposition leader or other members of the Oppostition cannot go to Saint John saying that it is official business and spend tax dollars. Bernard Lord as a Premier and his Ministers can and they are doing it.
The building in this picture, does it not have VLT in there. So Lord must be using some of that money to fight byelection. After VLT money ends up in government coffers, a good portion of it at least.
Mrs.Hooton has FINALLY put in an appearance to the LOWER south end of Saint John only to find a cool reception from the working poor,the unemployed as well as the poor. There seems to be a lot of doors closing on her within this area.
A neighbour told us Mrs.Hooton had 4 or 5 men with her.
Also one fellow told them to please remove themselves from his property. and that it is high time this area sends her boss a clear and unmistake able message,and shouted we can not be bought off or tricked by his fake promises!
Go take a look around Hooton's Campaign Headqarters on Charlotte Street. You'll see a bunch of government cars (look for the little black stickers in the corner of their licence plates where registration sticker should be, it will say "PERMANENT," that means a government car).
Cabinet Ministers are using taxpayer funded cars to go to Saint John and help in the campaign.
I would love that the Election Finance Office to verify that!
Yes Elizabeth opened her knew office, given to her with our tax dollars; yes now Lord is trying to buy Michelle's seat with our tax dollars. Notice we have more big wigs here with executive and permanent license plates park near Hooton's compaign office. Who was at Weir's opening with Hooton Button's. They saw a camera and took the Hooton buttons off. Is it because it is illegal or they are camera shy.
