NO Santa deserves to be BOOOOOed. The mayor has committees throughout the city and they supply money to these; terrible how this has played out. Citizens of Saint John deserve better. Respect would of been to call Santa up and have a discussion along time ago not at the last possible moment so he couldnot ask for his job. This is very upsetting and another blow to the people and children of Saint John. People of Saint John will pay for his job for three years. Yet for some reason they probably will some other excuse. This Santa has only been getting money for a year or two and before that nothing. Santa has expenses too; this area has high taxes and wages are not the best for some of us. Our Mayor & Council gives money to Billionaires and any group that suits their purpose. Santa volunteers at the Hospital and around the community. He is a very kind Santa and takes this job not as just acting he has become Santa and lives the part. There is no one like him. His presence brings tears to parents eyes. Disgusted of how they handled this and can't be fixed unless Santa gets his job back. He is deflated. This Santa has had more twenty years experience and if the new Santa comes recommended it is just another political appointment at City Hall or their friends.
This story like so many the Mayor is the root of the problem.
Step up and rehire the Santa and pay your other Santa and explain you made a hugh mistake. Of course this won't happen. Santa is devastated and yes some children will be disappointed but I guess will have to explain that expect this treatment as long as we have our Mayor and friends in power. Hope it feels as good on judgement day. This isn't just the parade it is so much more and we know the other Santa is getting paid $100 for the parade and he will compensated for the others that Santa will be required to fulfill. I feel deflated and I don't believe in anything anymore. Saint John is such an inclusive committee. Fire Santa ! Good job, Norm McScrooge! You have the power to look into their eyes and make it right if you wanted!

I guess Quispamsis will have a great parade this year and I'll be going there. I won't be spending uptown so Moncton looks good; I just decided today we will go see their stores and spend their with my daughter and Grandson. He is four and has not yet sat on him yet. We will go to the Imperial Sunday to meet the Real Santa because that is where he will be.
Santa may have a giant piece of Coal for you Mayor McFarlane. You will waste our tax dollars on Billionaires and trips to China and Ottawa; but no money for Santa who has to feed the Reindeers and Elves; Mrs. Santa Claus could use a surprise too.
Let's put it this way how can Santa have a job this time of year when santa's are usually booked ahead. We know you don't care; Santa can't show up and take someone position. This Santa deserves better then he received. Merry Christmas Scrooge who fired Santa and the ones who are selfish.
