BERNARD LORD SHOULD SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON AIR-CONDITIONERS IN THE NEW BRUNSWICK LEGISLATURE!!!!

I’m not certain but I believe that our Legislature might be the only one across Canada that has no air-conditioners inside.

Should the Government spend thousands of dollars to install these devices inside the House Chambers?

I say - Yes!!!!

During the hot summer months? It’s hot in there.

You don’t believe moi?

Just asked the LNG protesters who sat in the Gallery last spring.

My main concern is that both political parties would pass any bill just to get the hell out of there.

Hell and Legislature could go hand in hand???...lol

The only thing in there to cool the MLA’S are the fans.

In my opinion? The Legislature should be upgraded because it’s too darn hot in there to debate the issue of the day in a good way.

They’ll pass any bill just to get the hell out of there. If I was there? I would do the same thing.

It’s just too darn hot!!!!

I believe it would be a great investment for the taxpayers of this Province.

It would be easier and cheaper to just have the house sit durring the fall and spring. Just as much work could be done durring these time and they would not have to spend all of money needed to pay for the air conditioning.

It looks good on them. Let them all contribute 1% of their salaries towards getting in the air-conditioners. They're making enough money !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're joking right? No way they should spend loads of money on air conditioners. That money could be better spent given to the food bank, the SPCA, the health care system or schools in this province. Get your priorities straight!

No, I wasn't joking. The MLA's would never contribute to anything but for their own relief, so I figured let them pay for it. Just 1% of each paycheck would do it. When did you ever hear of an MLA forking our their own money to pay for schools or heathcare. Come on! But for their own comfort, such as air conditioning, "maybe"????
Just an idea.

I believe Charlie has merrit in his suggestion as the New Brunswick Legislature sits the least amount of time of any other Province.

That coupled with a Premier that is never there or off on some costly do nothing campaign would be a great improvement.

By the way if we can do it fast enough maybe just maybe Mr.Lord might actually stick around long enough this summer to hammer out just one piece of legislation that will benifet the people of New Brunswick before he is long gone but NEVER FORGOTTEN for what WE DIDN"T GET FOR OUR TAX DOLLARS!

I'm not sure but I don't think they sit in the summer do they? They're done in June.

It's not done until the business in hand is done. When it's very hot in there? It's done very quickly!!!
