I am told that they don't wish the poor people to sit down in the Square. I went to City Hall twice yesterday but couldn't get any answers!!!!
This is a disgrace!!!!!

The merchants have also convinced the Cty of Saint John to lower the number of benches on King Street and none at all in front of Brunswick Square.
For absolute Shame on all levels of all Governing Bodies to not only take their downtowns from these individuals but to hide them right in their own envirnment as well.
If I had my way, no Benches would be placed outside anywhere. Bums and so forth would only either end up sitting on them all day, or end up sleeping a Big Drunk Off after the Welfare Money is issued.
Your no irving supporter? as you would know that there are a large number of benches all throughout the Loyalist Burial Grounds and many times I've seen the boys picking a momentary corner and furthermore I have never seen any person what-so-ever come out and give anyone a problem whether it be rich or poor.
